In Loguetown, Kakarot parted ways with Doflamingo and the others.
He took Mihawk and Shanks with him on a journey to the Calm Belt.
The first purpose of the trip was to have Mihawk and Shanks spar with Athena and the others to improve their swordsmanship;
the second was to head to the South Blue afterward.
Buggy, meanwhile, happily chose to stay in the East Blue, intent on searching for those mysterious treasures.
Of course, before they parted, Kakarot sternly warned Buggy that he must never harm ordinary people,

The two ships slowly sailed into the windless, waveless Calm Belt. This stretch of sea resembled a vast, still mirror,
