"Rot! Old Luo! When are you going to wake up? All you did was have a drink, so how did you end up unconscious for three days?"

Zhang Zhen's voice, filled with anxiety and concern, kept echoing in Kakarot's ears.

Zhang Zhen? Why can I hear Old Zhang beside me? Wasn't I on Dream Island?

Kakarot was full of confusion. His head felt as groggy as if it had been struck by a heavy hammer, and his body felt as heavy as if it had been filled with lead.

He forced his eyes open with all his strength. The dazzling white light stabbed straight into them, making him instinctively squint.

Then the pungent smell of disinfectant entered his nostrils, mingling with the stuffy air of the hospital room and instantly clearing his head a little.

"Old Luo! You're finally awake!"

A familiar yet slightly unfamiliar face appeared before him, leaving Kakarot somewhat dazed,

his mind unable, for the moment, to connect the scene before him with the Dream Island in his memories.

"Old Zhang, what happened to me?"

Kakarot's voice was hoarse and weak.

Wasn't I supposed to be with Lilith and the others?

He silently repeated that last question to himself without saying it aloud.

Zhang Zhen looked helpless, his eyes full of concern.

"Rot, did you drink yourself stupid?

You felt sick after drinking, but you didn't even think to call me to take you to the hospital. You passed out on your couch, foaming at the mouth.

If I hadn't gone to see you at noon the next day, who knows whether you'd even be alive now!"

Pale-faced, Kakarot managed a faint smile. "Old Zhang, thank you.

I'm just dizzy. If you've got things to do, go ahead. Once I've recovered, I'll treat you to a meal!"
