"Tell me, what happened? Was he the one who hurt Huan’er?"
Wu Huan was Wu Tai's granddaughter by his legitimate line. Seeing her in this barely human state, he could not hold back his rising fury.
"It's all right. Miss Wu Huan's life can be saved." Mu Bai stood and sighed. "But I fear the poison has eaten into her mind. She may never regain consciousness, or she may lose her sanity."
Wu Tai swept his arm out with an angry roar, sending the tribespeople who had come at the news flying. The door slammed shut with a clang.
"Tell me what happened!"
"Miss Wu Huan probably ate something she shouldn't have last night and was poisoned."
"Last night? Poisoned?"
"Uh, you'll have to ask her what she ate."
"Then why is she barely clothed?"
"You'll still have to ask her what she ate last night..."
"It was Wu Daoyi! She was in Wu Daoyi's room last night. Go ask him!"
Wu Meng cried out, clutching Wu Huan tightly. Wu Huan was delirious, her whole body trembling without pause.
With a sweep of his large hand, Wu Tai put Wu Huan into his Mustard Seed Bag and left in a fury. Before long, a crash rang out as a door was kicked to pieces.
"Ah, you've taken this much too far!"
"Go ask Wu Daoyi!"
Wu Meng, too, could not keep her wits about her and shouted at her father.
"It's over. Wu Huan might survive, but her mind won't be saved."
Mu Bai slumped to the floor, unable to stop worrying about Wu Huan. He knew Wu Daoyi must have orchestrated all of this. Someone so wicked and vicious-he could not believe his brother Hai Chen could do such a thing.
