The Nanqing Sect was an orthodox sect of the Human Race, renowned for cultivating the physical body. Yu Fei was Nanqing Mountain's foremost disciple, the very person who would inherit leadership of the sect, so naturally he knew where the Yin Palace was. He pieced together the corpse of the woman he loved, forcibly restoring it to wholeness with his own flesh and blood, sculpting it into Yu'er's appearance in life.
He placed Yu'er's corpse inside the Crystal Coffin in the Yin Palace, using the extreme yin energy to preserve it from decay. He then placed the golden body of the sect patriarch originally housed in the Crystal Coffin into the Blood Pool. Taking advantage of the war between the Human and Beast Races, he slaughtered his way through the territories of several Demon Generals, brutally killing tens of thousands of the Beast Race and the Flesh People they raised. He took their blood to ritually refine the Blood Pool, and refined their corpses into the Myriad Corpse Hide, soaking it in the Blood Pool to breed and nourish corpse poison.
