The magma had become spirits but had yet to gain awareness, merely leaping at Mu Bai on instinct. Yet this unconscious instinct was the most terrifying of all, like a scholar facing a soldier: they came crashing in with ferocious force, with no regard for reason.
Mu Bai had no time to reason with them either. Seeing three Magma Red Dragons already lunging toward him, he simply swung the Crow Cauldron in his hand, flinging the Magma Red Dragon inside straight into its nestmates.
Seizing that opening, Mu Bai leaped fiercely, hoping to break through the blockade and escape with his life. But the Magma Red Dragons were exceedingly swift, their tails crashing down with magma cascading from them. Mu Bai dared not try to withstand them with his flesh and blood. He swiftly covered himself with the Crow Cauldron, and several thunderous booms rang out as all four Magma Red Dragons struck the cauldron with their tails almost simultaneously. Fortunately, the Crow Cauldron was sturdy enough, and Mu Bai's own mental strength was considerable, allowing him to withstand the four dragons' simultaneous blow.
He survived that strike, but one Magma Red Dragon seemed to harbor an intense hatred for the Crow Cauldron, coiling around it and insistently ramming and pounding it. The other three Magma Red Dragons found this great fun and joined in the scramble, turning the situation into four dragons playing with a pearl.
Being toyed with by four dragons like this was no lasting solution. Mu Bai tried to steer the Crow Cauldron out of the volcanic cavern, but the four Magma Red Dragons were having far too much fun to let him slip away. Each unleashed a graceful sweep of its tail, smashing the Crow Cauldron back into the magma pool.
