Lin Qiye remained at the Transcendent Administration Bureau’s headquarters because he lost a match whose wager required the loser to stay there for two months. During that period, he advanced from Mortal Entry Stage Five to Stage Six, Level Nine. His unnamed opponent had already reached Stage Seven, Level Nine, leaving Lin Qiye frustrated with the difference in their progress 26 35.

While many powerful bureau members trained in the Forbidden Zones, Lin Qiye carried out missions outside them. He became Yun Yongfeng’s right-hand man and was identified as the only supervisor above Mortal Entry Stage Five willing to remain at headquarters 11 22.

Personality

Lin Qiye is competitive and confident in his abilities, particularly Gravity Control and Weathering. Although his earlier wager taught him that excessive confidence could be costly, he still initially believed his abilities would give him an advantage over Shen Fei. His later challenge was intended to discover Shen Fei’s true strength rather than simply secure a victory 26 32 36.

He recognizes talent and acts to protect it. After witnessing Shen Fei’s rapid cultivation, he wanted to bring him to the Ten Thousand Great Mountains so that his potential would not be wasted at headquarters. He also rushed to help him at Qingshan Zoo and during the pursuit of the Heavenly God Cult leader 26 32.

Despite his pride, Lin Qiye can acknowledge defeat and treat senior officials courteously. He openly admitted that Shen Fei outmatched him and remained polite to Xing Feixiang and the Forbidden Zone veterans. Watching Shen Fei rapidly surpass him shook his confidence, but ultimately strengthened his determination to improve 36 37 38 40.
