Scalding tea dripped from Sengoku's palm, soaking the urgent battle report on his desk.
"That madman Newgate!"
Sengoku slammed his hand on the desk, sending the papers flying.
"He really means to drag the entire New World into the abyss!"
Vice Admiral Tsuru handed him a handkerchief.
"He never plays by the rules."
"Morgans's newspaper exposed Teach's origins. Newgate isn't just rescuing his son now; he's making a show of defiance against the World Government."
Akainu stood up, magma churning over his right fist and scorching the carpet beneath his feet.
"Then let them come!"
"The remnants of Rocks and Whitebeard's fleet-we can wipe them all out at Marineford in one fell swoop!"
Sengoku took the handkerchief and wiped his palm, his face ashen as cast iron.
He grabbed the Golden Den Den Mushi on the desk and pressed the call button.
"Send orders to all forces!"
Sengoku roared into the receiver.
"Marineford is to enter the highest state of combat readiness immediately!"
"Cancel leave for all commissioned officers, and recall every elite force we can mobilize from the Four Blues and the first half of the Grand Line!"
A communications soldier's flustered reply came through the Den Den Mushi.
"Yes, sir!"
"Fleet Admiral, should we sound the level-one alarm?"
"Sound it immediately!"
Sengoku hung up and turned to Tsuru.
"We underestimated Newgate's resolve, and we underestimated the impact of this report."
"Teach's identity will draw out all those monsters from the old era hiding in the shadows."
The office door was kicked open, and Garp strode in, chewing senbei.
"Sengoku!"
"Are you really going to take things this far?"
Garp slammed a half-full bag of senbei onto the desk, scattering crumbs everywhere.
Sengoku pointed at the newspaper on the desk.
"Look at what Morgans wrote!"
"Teach is Rocks's son!"
