"What?! You want me to be a janitor?!" Crocodile exploded, his back teeth grinding audibly, his lungs ready to burst.
He was one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the mastermind plotting to overthrow a kingdom, and now he was being forced to scrub floors on this lousy ship?!
"You dare disobey?!" Enel glared, lightning flickering over the Golden Staff again, but this time he did not strike, because he suddenly remembered something more urgent.
"Hmph! Stay put and behave before this god! Think hard about how to atone! This god is off to carry out the captain's sacred shopping mission!"
Enel snatched up the menu from the floor, giving Crocodile no further chance to protest.
"Bzzzt-BOOM!!"
With a crackle of electricity, his body instantly became a blinding bolt of lightning, hurtling toward Rainbase at a speed that was almost teleportation.
All he left behind was a roar with an electric buzz trailing through the night sky: "You lot! Watch him! If he dares run or slack off... heh heh heh... you know the consequences when this god returns!"
In an instant, only Crocodile and three former subordinates holding brooms and rags remained on deck, staring at him in terror.
Crocodile stood there, charred black, his clothes in tatters and a large lump still swollen on his forehead.
He looked at the tightly shut cabin door, then in the direction Enel had vanished, before finally resting his gaze on his three trembling subordinates.
"B-Boss..." Mr. 5, holding a yellow umbrella, ventured cautiously.
"Wh-what exactly is going on? That white-haired man... is he really...?"
Crocodile's voice was hoarse, filled with disbelief and a barely perceptible tremor.
He needed confirmation. Was this truly the Demon King himself, or an enormous hoax?
"W-we don't know, Boss!" Mr. 4 looked close to tears.
