Sasuke used his memories of Tanjiro and his companions to cast Genjutsu: Bond Corridor, breaking Muzan’s world of despair and reaching Tanjiro’s dying soul. Muzan’s phantom watched his domain collapse and reacted with fear.
As Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Kanao, Kyojuro Rengoku, and Giyu Tomioka called Tanjiro back to himself, their bonds reached his soul in the Mental World. The memories began burning through the chains of hatred binding him as the counterattack sounded.
Tanjiro reclaimed his identity and broke free of Muzan’s control in the Mental World. He joined Sasuke and prepared to purge Muzan’s remaining phantom, who insisted his thousand-year will could not be defeated.
Tanjiro used Sun Breathing’s Thirteenth Form to purify Muzan’s final monstrous will in the mental world. As the world returned to pure white, Muzan’s obsession vanished without a trace.
Kanao injected the final Demon Transformation Medicine into Tanjiro as the demon influence vanished, and he survived the violent change back into a human. The exhausted heroes collapsed, and Nezuko caught her brother as the thousand-year war ended.
As Sasuke drifted toward death, the system awarded him the hidden achievement Redemption and offered him three possible worlds to choose from. He postponed his decision and sank into a peaceful sleep.
After Muzan's defeat, the Kakushi searched the ruined battlefield, tending to the wounded and recovering the dead. Kiriya Ubuyashiki organized the aftermath and, learning that several allies had survived, finally wept for his lost family as the survivors faced the future without demons.
A week after the final battle, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke awoke in the Butterfly Mansion, while Giyu and Kyojuro had also survived. Uesugi Sasuke remained unconscious in intensive care as Tanjiro prayed for him to awaken.
One month after Muzan Kibutsuji’s defeat, Kiriya Ubuyashiki held the final Hashira Meeting and announced the Demon Slayer Corps’ disbandment. The surviving swordsmen laid down their Nichirin Blades and faced an uncertain future without demons.
