Shuo used his light-based abilities and Kizaru-inspired manner to survive the war and earn a place on Minato’s squad. After helping defend a border outpost, he returned to Konoha and faced Fugaku’s request for his support, leaving the clan offer unresolved.

• Saku was bound to the Kizaru template during the Third Shinobi World War and escaped an Iwagakure trap with Kentaro by using Flash Movement.
• Shuo earned imitation points by taunting enemies and acting indifferent, then used Light-Speed Kick and a phantom light sword to repel Iwagakure infiltrators and help protect the camp.
• After recovering and receiving a Chunin promotion, Shuo returned to Konoha, where he passed a clan assessment and began developing light-based techniques while Minato watched his progress.

• Shuo joined Minato’s team for training and an escort mission, using light manipulation and careful battlefield guidance to help the team overcome attackers, traps, and a modified summoning beast.
• Minato brought Furukawa and the rescued witnesses back to Konoha, where Shuo’s report prompted the Hokage to investigate possible fake Root operatives.

Shuo and Sai kept their candy shop going as war and the Nine-Tails attack drew Shuo into battles against Iwagakure and the Akatsuki. After the Third Hokage died and Gaara was rescued, Shuo was assigned to protect him in Sunagakure, where two Akatsuki spies waited nearby.

• Shuo and Sai filled their candy plates, and Shin joined them after leaving Root, while Shuo and Sai continued caring for the shop together.
• Shuo helped Konoha fight Iwagakure, disarmed and frightened enemy forces with his light powers, and later helped Minato stop the Nine-Tails attack.
• Shuo learned that Akatsuki was targeting tailed beasts, repelled Hidan, Kakuzu, and Kisame, and refused Pain’s invitation to meet during the Chunin Exams.
