"Divine Punishment!"
When those words, filled with supreme dominance and absolute majesty, left Yas's mouth, all the air in the hospital room seemed to have been sucked out in that instant.
Even the sunlight outside the window seemed to dim a little.
A sudden flurry of static flashed across the screens of the steadily running medical equipment, accompanied by an electrical crackle.
An invisible tremor, rising from the deepest reaches of his soul, sent another scorching surge through Yas's body, weakened as it was by his severe injuries.
He knew he had found the right direction.
A supreme path that would let him surpass Whitebeard, surpass Zephyr, and even surpass Rocks, whom he had yet to meet, and truly ascend to the pinnacle of the world!
"Let's get to it."
Yas had never been one to drag his feet.
He could not even wait for his body to recover fully. He sat cross-legged on the hospital bed right then and began this mad attempt, unprecedented in history and perhaps never to be repeated.
"First, Conqueror's Haki."
Yas slowly closed his eyes, sinking his mind into his spiritual world.
Boom!
An invisible kingly presence erupted from his body.
This was not the crude release used to clear a battlefield, but an extreme inward concentration.
In his perception, the Conqueror's Haki that represented his will was no longer a diffuse aura. It had become an invisible "domain," thin as a cicada's wing yet indestructible, wrapped tightly around the surface of his body.
This was the most rudimentary form of Conqueror's Haki Infusion.
"Next, 'Black Lightning.'"
With a thought, Yas mobilized the tiny trace of "Black Lightning" chakra that had just recovered within him.
Crackle.
A black arc finer than a strand of hair danced merrily on his fingertip like a living sprite.
