In the study, Douglas was on a video call with Bill.
"Douglas, happy Halloween. Shame I haven't put up any jack-o'-lanterns! But Pheobe has prepared some sweets..."

Douglas ignored Bill's voice entirely and greeted Pheobe, who left after showing her face on the video. Pheobe's expression did not change at his words, but Bill flushed slightly.

Douglas shrugged and reached out to scoop Wangcai away from the screen and into
