The excitement of Halloween came quickly and went just as quickly.
The next evening, after dinner, during study time.
The members of the Charon Detective Agency slipped out again. They had not fully cleared last night's counter-curse chamber. Although it was very simple, none of the students in Fifth Year or above had helped. The third- and fourth-years were still progressing rather slowly...
"We'll leave the counter-curse chamber on the Fifth Underground Level to the Lower Years."
Harry stood at the dungeon entrance, pointing at a sketch as he assigned tasks.
"As you can all see, the difficulty inside is about the same as our practical counter-curse classes. It's just right for the Lower Years to practice on. Everyone else in Fifth Year and above will follow us farther down to explore."
"Does anyone have any questions? We only have two hours today. If there are no questions, let's move."
Harry looked around the group, pausing slightly when his gaze passed over Cho Chang, before looking at the others.
Because of the holiday yesterday, very few people had actually come out. Today, nobody particularly wanted to attend study time, so the Detective Club had a relatively full turnout.
The atmosphere along the way was still fairly relaxed, with everyone chatting and laughing. After all, there was no longer much danger on the first five levels.
When they reached the sixth level, everyone grew tense again, splitting into groups of two or three and spreading out among the different dungeon rooms.
They were only making a basic advance, because the room entrances here were all very strange. Some required jumping straight down into a dungeon, while others required finding a hole in the wall barely large enough for one person to crawl through. The situation was rather complicated.
