Ghost Cash paradise!

Lin Qi stood at the edge of the dry well, all fear gone from his face, and stepped into it.

The instant weightlessness hit, his senses finally returned!

His body plummeted down the dry well, his restored senses seemingly there to let him taste one last moment of despair!

"Fuck! What the hell is this thing?!"

Lin Qi flailed his arms wildly, trying to grab the scarlet-smeared walls of the dry well!

He should have been able to brace himself inside the well simply by spreading his hands, but the instant he touched the blood-colored walls, his expression changed.

The walls of the dry well! They were nothing like any substance he had ever seen!

The masses of blood-red material making up the walls seemed alive. As he touched them, he could even feel them squirming!

"Hiss."

Lin Qi forcibly suppressed his revulsion, gritted his teeth, and inched upward.

Now suspended partway down the dry well, he merely glanced at the bottom, and cold sweat instantly drenched his back.

There was a vast space beneath the dry well.

At its center, the spot visible from above, lay countless notes of Ghost Cash!

Only after falling into the well did he see the areas that had been hidden from view!

Around that Ghost Cash crawled countless blood-colored creatures, packed together in a dense mass!

At a glance, there was almost no end to them!

They were on all fours, without skin, their muscles completely exposed.

They were only half the size of an ordinary human, yet now they all raised their heads in unison, their hollow eyes filled with a greed that sent chills down his spine!

Lin Qi did not dare spare these things another glance. Using both hands and feet, he endured the nauseating feel of the well walls and scrambled upward.

Just as he neared the opening, a dark shadow suddenly blocked the moonlight.

He looked up, faint flashes of lightning flickering in his eyes.

At the very moment he looked up, a thick, powerful arm reached down from above.

It was Niu Wudi.

"Come on up."

Niu Wudi grabbed Lin Qi. Lin Qi felt an immense force, and before he even realized what was happening, he had landed steadily outside the dry well.

"Thanks."

Seeing Niu Wudi, Lin Qi breathed a sigh of relief.

Compared with the other Extraordinaries, he trusted this big lug, Niu Wudi, a little more.

"I don't know whether to call you lucky or unlucky."

Niu Wudi looked Lin Qi up and down before leaning over to peer into the dry well.

Only then did Lin Qi notice the several charred corpses on Niu Wudi's back. They were the companions of Scarface and his group.

Just as Lin Qi was wondering what Niu Wudi was doing.

Niu Wudi spoke. "I come out every night looking for this thing. Never thought you'd be the one to find it."

Niu Wudi's body began to change. Black fur covered him, and in the blink of an eye, he became a Giant Bear!

His Giant Bear form clearly could not fit into the dry well.

Under Lin Qi's astonished gaze, the Giant Bear actually began shrinking until he was the size of an ordinary human.

Without another word, Niu Wudi hoisted a corpse onto his shoulder.

While Lin Qi was still marveling at Niu Wudi's ability to change his size at will, he had already jumped into the dry well with the corpse on his shoulder!

Lin Qi cried, "Niu Wudi, are you crazy?!"

Lin Qi hurried over to the mouth of the well and looked down.

He soon understood Niu Wudi's intention.

Niu Wudi landed heavily on the pile of Ghost Cash with the corpse on his shoulder.

His arrival seemed to trigger some signal. The crawling monsters hidden beneath the dry well swarmed toward him almost instantly.

Niu Wudi had clearly expected the crawling monsters to charge.

He hurled the corpse in his hand away, and all the crawling monsters that had been charging at him were instantly drawn to it instead!

But that was only the crawling monsters at the very front. Those behind kept coming, wave after wave!

Niu Wudi seized that opening to scoop up a handful of Ghost Cash without even checking how much he had, bent his knees, and shot out of the dry well like a cannonball.

Lin Qi felt a powerful gust sweep past him, and Niu Wudi appeared before him, clutching a handful of Ghost Cash.

"Really lucky today."

Niu Wudi returned to human form and casually stuffed the Ghost Cash into his pocket.

Lin Qi looked at Niu Wudi's clothes in surprise. Transforming did not tear them apart?

He quickly shook off the stray thoughts that had popped into his head, his gaze falling on the Ghost Cash in Niu Wudi's hand.

Niu Wudi clearly noticed his gaze too. He seemed an easygoing, good-natured man, with no intention of keeping it secret. Instead, he said cheerfully, "This dry well is one of our convoy's biggest sources of Ghost Cash, but the odds of finding it aren't high. I have you to thank today."

Niu Wudi was visibly happy. He tucked the Ghost Cash into his pocket and looked at Lin Qi. "Well? Interested in giving it a go?"

Lin Qi was very interested in the Ghost Cash Niu Wudi had grabbed, but he valued his life more.

Seeing Lin Qi considering it, Niu Wudi smiled. "I know what you're thinking. Don't worry, I'm no bad guy. I'll go down with you. Hold on tight to me."

"All right."

Hearing that Niu Wudi would go down with him eased some of Lin Qi's worries.

He currently had an unknown amount of betrothal gifts hanging over him. If his safety could be assured, he certainly would not pass up an opportunity.

If the system could store Ghost Cash other than what he held in his hands, he would have loved to take that whole mountain of it!

That much Ghost Cash would probably be more than enough to pay the bride price.

"Let's go."

Niu Wudi transformed into a Giant Bear again. Carrying two corpses with his right arm and Lin Qi with his left, he leaped down.

Lin Qi watched the squirming walls on either side rush past.

Almost the very next instant, he and Niu Wudi landed at the bottom of the well.

"Quick!"

Niu Wudi urged him loudly almost the instant they landed.

Lin Qi naturally knew what he was there for. While Niu Wudi threw out the corpses, he scooped up a great armful of Ghost Cash with both hands!

Before he even had time to do anything else, his body grew light again.

When he appeared again, he had already landed steadily outside the dry well.

The fleeting glimpse Lin Qi caught before leaving the dry well left his thoughts unsettled for a long time.

Entering the dry well might have taken only an instant.

But what had he seen in that instant?!

Beneath the dry well was no mere vast space!

Rather than a space, it was more like a world!

An underground world of blood-red, stretching beyond the limits of sight!

Questions began circling in his mind.

He had far too many questions he wanted Niu Wudi to answer...
