Bell the Psychological Counselor
"Nothing!"
Hermione turned her head away, unable to look Bell in the eye.
Don't misunderstand, Hermione didn't look away because Hermione discovered Bell had used Memory Charm on her. Hermione isn't currently capable of detecting any traces of Bell's spellcasting.
She was simply shy.
"Hermione, we're good friends, aren't we? I hope I can help you. If you encounter any difficulties, please let me know."
Bell dared not let Hermione's negative energy continue to build up, otherwise who knows when it would erupt again.
Who knows if Hermione might do something extreme?
Bell discovers that Hogwarts is missing a therapist.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is a boarding school, and young Little Wizard are often separated from their parents for extended periods, which can potentially lead to psychological problems. Although they have professors and friends, the role of parents in a child's development is irreplaceable.
Hermione lowered her head, looking as if she wanted to say something but couldn't.
Bell didn't say anything more, simply gazing at her silently. If Hermione truly didn't intend to speak, Bell wouldn't force her to. Acting arbitrarily in the name of "for the other person's good" was something Bell despised most.
Finally, Hermione spoke up.
"Actually, it happened last night. After I got back that night, I learned what ' Mudblood ' meant from my roommate, and I also heard some rumors about the Chamber of Secrets. I... I don't know how to explain it..."
Upon hearing the word "last night," Bell knew why Hermione had lost control of her emotions.
Clearly, the invisible discrimination and prejudice brought great mental stress to the Little Witch.
It seems he should have hit Malfoy harder when he reprimanded him yesterday!
"Okay, Hermione, I understand."
Seeing Hermione stammering and unsure how to express herself, Bell interrupted her.
Let's start from the beginning.
"First of all, do you know Chamber of Secrets is?"
"Bell asked."
"I remember seeing it in ' Hogwarts: Hogwarts, A History,' but I can't recall the specifics."
Hermione said with some annoyance.
"Don't worry about it. The Chamber of Secrets was built by Salazar Slytherin, one of the Four Founders of Hogwarts. Although there are many interpretations of the Chamber of Secrets's significance, in my opinion, it's just an ordinary magical research room."
"Since it's a magic research lab, it's natural to set up some defensive measures. Otherwise, if someone suddenly breaks in while I'm conducting important magic experiments, it would be extremely dangerous for both of us."
"Slytherin chose to restrict how the Chamber of Secrets of Secrets could be opened, which is why there is a rumor that only Heir of Slytherin can open Chamber of Secrets."
"But then why is everyone so afraid of the so-called heir? And why is Malfoy targeting me, Muggle-born wizard?"
Hermione pressed for an answer, puzzled.
The Little Witch was immediately captivated by any new knowledge, as if nothing had ever happened.
She truly lives up to her reputation as Hermione.
"Because Slytherin believed that Hogwarts shouldn't accept Little Wizard from Muggle families. The other three Founders disagreed, so Slytherin eventually left Hogwarts. When he left, he left his pet—a Basilisk —in the Chamber of Secrets. Do you know Basilisk?"
Hermione shook her head.
"The Basilisk is a Magical Animals created by wizards. It is said to hatch from an egg laid by a rooster. I'm not entirely sure of the specifics, though, do roosters really lay eggs? Anyway, the Basilisk is an extremely dangerous Magical Animals. Its gaze is magical; any creature that makes direct contact with its eyes will die. And if one sees its eyes through reflections in objects such as mirrors or water, they will be petrified. Mrs. Norris was petrified by the Basilisk's gaze."
"I don't know why Slytherin left the Basilisk behind when he left. Maybe he thought Basilisk was too ugly? Maybe he thought it was too much trouble to carry Basilisk? Or maybe he just wanted to go out for a bit, but something happened that prevented him from coming back? Who knows. Anyway, it wasn't for some so-called purification of Hogwarts."
"But why not? Don't Slytherin hate Little Wizard from Muggle families?"
Hermione raised her objection once again.
If he could, Bell would really wish Hermione could channel that spirit of questioning into reading, rather than using it against him.
"First of all, it's just a Basilisk, it's not worthy! Slytherin wouldn't be so foolish as to think that they can run rampant in Hogwarts just because of a Basilisk."
"Secondly, Slytherin was not a Pure-blood advocate. His belief that Hogwarts should not accept Little Wizard from Muggle families had a historical context."
"In Europe a thousand years ago, the conflict between wizards and Muggle was extremely intense. Muggle feared the power of wizards, so they hunted down and slaughtered them. Slytherin believed that wizards from Muggle families might betray Hogwarts, increasing the likelihood of Hogwarts being exposed. Frankly, I don't think there's anything wrong with his idea."
"Hermione, do you remember what I said to Malfoy last night? We are wizards, and only magic can determine a wizard's status! So please believe me, and please believe in yourself, you will definitely become a very good wizard."
After saying that, Bell lay back down on the recliner.
"Sigh! Finally finished! I feel like it's been ages since I've said so much at once."
"But... but..."
Hermione's fingers became entangled.
"But the Basilisk has already been released, hasn't it? Aren't you scared, Bell? Didn't you say the Basilisk was a very dangerous Magical Animals?"
"!?"
Σ(っ°Д°;)っ
Bell suddenly realized that he had been overlooking something all along: Hermione was not him.
According to Bell himself, he was not afraid of any Basilisk.
Even though that Basilisk had lived for nearly a thousand years, and couldn't defeat Run Bell, he was still confident he could escape.
But Hermione is different!
If Hermione were Basilisk, she would definitely be petrified.
As for whether Hermione would be killed by the Basilisk, Bell wasn't worried.
After all, Hogwarts is under Dumbledore's protection. Dumbledore wouldn't allow any Little Wizard to die under his nose.
As long as Dumbledore doesn't allow it, Bell believes the Little Wizard will be safe.
Do you really think the title of "the greatest White Wizard of modern times" is just a joke? This is something recognized worldwide, at least in the Western magical world!
However, aside from death, I guess Dumbledore didn't care much about other things.
