On the Possibility of Bell Raising a Dragon in Big Ben
Actually, Hermione did want to spend more time with Bell doing things that couples do.
However, the vast gap in magical skill between Hermione and Bell kept pushing Hermione to keep going.
Also, don't misunderstand, what we mean by "things that only couples do" is dating.
After Hermione returned to her dorm last night, she borrowed some romance novels from her roommate. According to the novels, couples often go on dates.
Hermione used to look down on these romance novels.
She felt that reading these books was a complete waste of time and life. Wouldn't it be better to use that time to review the knowledge taught in class?
Now, Hermione understands why so many girls enjoy reading romance novels.
After a last-minute recharge last night, Hermione learned a lot about dating.
But why is her situation completely different from what is written in those books?
Is there something wrong with my teenage romance story?
Hermione wondered.
After careful consideration, the clever Hermione astutely discovered the root of the problem.
"It was all Bell's fault after all!"
"What? How come it's all my fault again?"
Bell looked completely bewildered. What had he done now? Weren't they just talking about afternoon training?
"..."
"How could I have said that! Ugh—! I want to die!"
Hermione lowered her head, not daring to look Bell in the eye.
Why did she blurt out what was on her mind? She never had this problem before!
"Never mind."
Unable to understand Hermione's situation, Bell simply skipped over it, since similar situations had occurred before.
"Hermione, you expended too much energy this morning. Even with the Potions, your body needs rest, otherwise you might suffer from hidden injuries."
"And what I mean by rest doesn't mean doing absolutely nothing in the afternoon. If you wish, you can still continue your magic control training this afternoon, but you can no longer accept mental interference. You can only train under normal conditions."
Based on Hermione's progress this morning, Bell estimated that it would take Hermione about 1.5 to 2 years to be able to control her magic with ease.
After all, Hermione's situation is different from his and Shanna's. Compared to the younger siblings back then, Hermione, who is already 13 years old, will need less time, which is quite normal.
"Okay, I'll do as you say."
Hermione just wanted to get away with what had just happened, so she listened to whatever Bell said.
Although he didn't know why Hermione had suddenly become so obedient, it was a good thing nonetheless, so Bell didn't think too much about it and walked outside with Hermione.
He's hungry!
"Awoo~~"
As soon as she stepped out of her suitcase, Fina pounced on her, howling.
The little guy jumped onto Bell, gazing at Bell with pitiful eyes.
"Okay, I understand. Thank you for your hard work, Fina."
Bell lifted Fina up to his face and pressed his cheek against Fina's soft fur, rubbing it against her.
Since this is Gryffindor Common Room, although the suitcase has built-in Repelling Jinx and Defense Barrier, Bell still arranged for Fina to guard it outside for safety reasons. If anything unexpected happens, the little girl can immediately enter the suitcase to warn Bell.
"But Fina, you're a mature Bi'an now, so you should learn to guard the house. I'll leave the afternoon to you. Tomorrow, you'll only need to watch the house for a little while in the morning."
Hearing that she would have to continue this boring gatekeeping job in the afternoon, Little Fina was completely displeased. Even the background around her seemed to darken.
"I'll give you Crispy Spider Legs for dinner tonight."
"Awoo! (Leave it to me!)"
o(=ω=)m
Little Fina stood tall and proud, saluting with one paw.
Bell patted Fina's little head with satisfaction. As expected of his beloved pet, she was so reliable!
"Bell, what did you just say Fina was? Must... must be dark?"
Hermione looked at Bell with a puzzled expression.
Isn't Fina a cat? Woman... The girl's intuition told her that Bell must be hiding something.
"Ahem, you misheard... okay, you didn't mishear."
Bell, instinctively wanting to keep it a secret, suddenly realizes that Hermione's identity has changed. As her girlfriend, Hermione is able to find out Fina's true identity.
"Actually, it's like this... rambling... chattering... rambling on..."
Bell leaned close to Hermione's ear and whispered something.
"What!? You're saying Fina is actually... um..."
Shh! Keep your voice down.
Before Hermione could finish speaking, Bell quickly covered Hermione mouth with his hand, silencing her gasp.
He didn't want to erase the memories of Little Wizard in the Gryffindor Common Room later; that would be too much trouble.
"Bell, how could you bring Fina to Hogwarts!"
Hermione complained in a low voice.
She realized she had been a bit too loud. But it wasn't entirely her fault; the information Bell had said was quite shocking.
She had always thought Fina was just an ordinary, cute kitten. Although this cat was a tiny bit different from what she knew, well, it's a cat in the magical world, so it's normal for it to have some special abilities, right?
But now that I think about it, how could any kitten like to eat a thigh bone? It's not a fish bone.
So, Fina is actually a Bi'an?!
Okay, actually Hermione didn't know what Bi'an was.
Hermione can only start taking the "Care of Magical Creatures in her third year, and she doesn't know many Magical Creatures yet. The ones she does know were all introduced to her by Bell yesterday.
However, Hermione learned at least one thing from Bell's account.
The Bi'an is a powerful Magical Animals that is in no way inferior to the Fire Dragon. In fact, most types of Fire Dragon are no match for the Bi'an!
Hermione couldn't understand Bell's thinking at all. Following his previous act of keeping a snake in his sleeve (Bell: "I've never kept a snake in my sleeve, okay! The Ten Thousand Snakes is Magic Puppet, not a real snake!"), this time Bell had kept an even more dangerous Bi'an in his dormitory!?
Hermione felt it was necessary to put the issue of "stopping Bell from keeping dragons in London's Big Ben" on her agenda.
"Fina is just a little baby!"
Bell lifted Fina up in front of Hermione.
"Look at it, it lost its parents at such a young age. If I don't take it with me, how will poor Little Fina survive!"
"Waaaaah~"
Little Fina, who had previously received a signal from her owner, cooperated by putting on a pitiful look.
And no girl can resist Little Fina's pitiful offensive!
As Bell had expected, Hermione was completely charmed by Little Fina's adorable appearance.
Her expression softened instantly, and the imposing manner she had displayed when interrogating Bell was gone.
"But... you can keep Fina at home as a pet!"
Hermione discovered the blind spot.
"!?"
"Awoo~! Awoo~~!"
