Awakening
The sound startled the woman lying in the bed beside him. Bell guessed that she was his mother in this life.
"Bell!? You're awake!?" the woman said excitedly. Tears quickly filled her eyes and streamed down her face.
Elena was overjoyed! It had been so long, yet Bell had shown no sign of waking up. She had already prepared herself for the possibility that Bell might sleep for a year or even longer. Yet today, she had merely taken a short rest, and her son had suddenly awakened. Merlin's beard, this was wonderful!
Bell nodded his little head. He wanted to say hello, but the moment he opened his mouth, a gust of wind suddenly sprang up.
Bang~ Crash~ Smack~
The sounds of all kinds of objects breaking rang out.
So what the hell is going on? Is anyone going to do something about this? Bell looked utterly bewildered.
"Oh, sweetheart, don't get excited. It's all right, Mom is right here beside you."
Watching Bell's magic wreak havoc everywhere, Elena was terrified that he would be frightened. If Little Bell got emotionally agitated and his magic ran wild, she could not guarantee that her son would not fall asleep again for another month.
Elena grabbed something beside the bed that looked like a microphone and anxiously called for the healers.
Before long, several people rushed into the room. They glanced around at the scene, then quickly came to Bell's side. A middle-aged woman who appeared to be in charge swiftly pulled out a Wooden stick and gently pressed it against Bell's body.
Bell looked at the people who had appeared before him, the corner of his mouth twitching.
Just look at what these people were doing! They were actually poking him all over with a lousy pair of Chopsticks!? Who were these people? Did scammers these days have no professional standards at all? Come on, could they at least put some effort into scamming people?
Bell turned to look at his mother, hoping she would throw these strange people out. Although the woman was only lightly touching him with the Chopsticks, it still made him feel uncomfortable.
But Bell was soon disappointed. His mother merely smiled at him, with no intention whatsoever of questioning those people. At the same time, she was rapidly discussing something with them. Bell could only tell that they were speaking English, and he could occasionally understand a few words, but what exactly they were saying was completely beyond him.
It seemed he could not count on his mother. Bell felt that once he was a little older, he would have to keep a close eye on his mother and the family property. Otherwise, one day, she might get scammed out of both herself and every last penny.
Bell struggled to raise his tiny hand, wanting to push that lousy pair of Chopsticks away.
Then...
Boom~~ Bang~ Crash~~
More objects shattered. This time, it even sounded as though a wall had collapsed? Bell saw a cloud of dust spreading toward him.
Of course, that was not the main issue. The main issue was that Bell saw a transparent shield appear around the body of the scammer who had been poking him with Chopsticks!
She also waved the Chopsticks in her hand, and the approaching dust was stopped several meters away from Bell. There was clearly no barrier there, yet the dust was blocked.
( ̄△ ̄;)
Apparently, these people were not scammers?
And Bell also realized that there did not seem to be a terrorist organization attacking this place? Or rather, was he the terrorist?
The examination continued for quite some time afterward. Some rather unpleasant sounds were mixed in, but Bell had already gotten used to them.
He had already smashed so many things anyway, so what did it matter if he smashed a few more? Besides, he did not even have a pair of underwear on right now. They could deal with it however they wanted.
Thinking all sorts of nonsense, Bell could no longer hold on during the examination and fell asleep again. Before drifting off, he heard his mother's anxious voice.
"What's wrong with him!?"
When Bell woke up once again, he was already back home. The two people who were presumably his parents were sitting some distance away, chatting.
"Darling, why were you in such a hurry to leave the hospital? You should have let Bell stay there for observation a while longer," William said with some dissatisfaction.
This afternoon, while he was working, he had suddenly received a message from his wife. The letter said that his son Bell had woken up! William had been so happy that he jumped straight out of his chair.
Without a second word, he tossed aside the work at hand, quickly tidied himself up, and traveled through the fireplace to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.
But when he reached the ward where his wife and son had been, he found it completely empty! This terrified him. He hurriedly found a hospital staff member to ask what had happened, only to be told that his wife and son had already checked out and gone home!?
William truly wanted to grab his wife by the ears and ask her just what she had been thinking.
It was not as though they could not afford the hospital fees. Was there really any need to rush home so quickly? Bell had only just woken up. What if something happened again? In William's opinion, whether there was a problem or not, Bell should stay in the hospital for at least two months first.
"I wanted to! But less than two hours after Bell woke up, he completely destroyed three hospital rooms. The healers said Bell was in good health and no longer needed observation. For the safety of the other patients, they absolutely refused to let Bell stay in the hospital any longer."
Elena was unhappy too. If she had had a choice, she would not have wanted to leave the hospital at all.
Those healers had kept saying they had never seen such a condition before and had no idea when her son would wake up while he was unconscious. But after her son woke up, they just casually examined him a couple of times and said he no longer needed observation!? How could people be so irresponsible!
If there had been anywhere to file a complaint, she definitely would have complained about that healer's service attitude.
After waking up, Bell felt a little hungry. His parents in the distance obviously had not noticed that he was awake and were still chatting among themselves.
Bell had originally wanted to make a sound to remind them, but remembering what had happened at the hospital, he did not dare move or make a sound. Helplessly, Bell cautiously turned his little head and looked around at where he was.
He discovered that he was in a spacious, empty room.
There was a large bed in the center of the room—the very bed Bell was currently lying on. A table and several chairs were simply arranged around it, with no other furniture in the room. In one corner, however, there was a pile of toys.
It seemed this was his bedroom. But this bedroom was really huge! Could his family be rich?
Feeling the hunger in his stomach, Bell finally spotted a baby bottle on the table beside his parents, and it was full of milk.
He stared at the bottle fixedly, feeling as though he was about to drool.
Ah~ I really want to drink it! Bell thought.
Then something unbelievable happened yet again. The baby bottle slowly floated toward Bell.
Bell watched the floating bottle expectantly, thinking, Come here~ Come here~
Sure enough, the bottle sped up. With a whoosh~, it flew right past Bell's eyes, then hit the wall with a smack, shattering into pieces.
