Wizard Classification
Because of the accident that happened during the Care of Magical Creatures, there was still almost an hour of free time before the next class started.
Based on the principle that time is life, and not wanting to waste any time, Bell took Hermione back to the suitcase.
Standing on the grass, Bell solemnly took a small bottle out of his pocket.
This bottle is the same glass bottle that Bell used yesterday afternoon to hold his Patronus.
Bell opened the bottle and released Qiongqi.
After controlling Qiongqi to return to its original size, Bell's eyes lit up with azure magical light as he carefully observed Qiongqi.
Every now and then, Bell would press his Wand against Qiongqi's body, trying to analyze the composition of Qiongqi's magic.
"Bell, you can even cast the Patronus Charm now? Can Shanna do that too?"
Actually, Hermione wasn't particularly surprised that Bell was able to cast the Patronus Charm. So the second half of her sentence was her main purpose.
"Yes, Shanna can too. In fact, Shanna learned the Patronus Charm even earlier than I did."
Bell is now unsure whether he has actually learned the Patronus Charm. After all, no matter how you look at it, his Patronus doesn't seem quite right.
Furthermore, fearing it might have a negative impact on Qiongqi, Bell is now afraid to even attempt to cast the Patronus Charm.
"Really? Shanna is amazing. I've heard that the Patronus Charm is a very difficult and advanced Curses."
Hermione said with a hint of jealousy.
She felt that Bell must be siding with Shanna again. She didn't believe Shanna could have learned the Patronus Charm before Bell.
However, Bell, who was focusing most of his attention on Qiongqi, failed to detect the jealousy in Hermione's tone.
"No, the Patronus Charm is not a high-level Curses."
Bell said without turning his head.
"How is that possible!? I've read in many books that very few people can cast the Patronus Charm."
"That's simply because the application of the Patronus Charm is too narrow. In fact, in my personal opinion, all Curses with clear incantations and casting gestures are basic Curses."
This view may be somewhat extreme, but in Bell's opinion, only when a wizard is freed from the shackles of spells can he be considered qualified to embark on the path of pursuing the mysteries of magic.
Hermione, without a doubt, did not believe Bell's statement.
That's not how professors teach.
Compared to Bell, Hermione clearly trusted the professors more at this point.
Bell withdrew the Wand from Qiongqi's forehead and turned to look at Hermione. He sensed his girlfriend's disbelief.
"Let me give you an example. See that big rock over there?"
As he spoke, Bell pointed his Wand at a landscape stone not far away, and the stone immediately split in two, the cut as smooth as a mirror.
"Question: What Curses did I just use?"
Bell looked at Hermione with a half-smile.
Hermione ran quickly to the cut-open boulder.
She first closed her eyes and sensed for a while, following the method Bell had taught her before.
Then, she carefully examined the smooth cut surface of the boulder, touching it, tapping it, licking it... cough cough.
In short, after scratching her head and fussing for a while, Hermione finally came back dejectedly.
"I can't tell."
Hermione felt deeply frustrated.
Logically speaking, Curses that can cut objects apart are nothing more than a few types of spells such as the Cutting Curse, the Wind Blade Spell, or the Separation Spell.
However, after carefully sensing the magic remaining on the stone and observing the shape of the cut, Hermione felt that the Curses Bell used had similarities to the Curses mentioned above, but also had slight differences.
Looking at his girlfriend's adorable appearance, Bell couldn't help but reach out and pinch Hermione's cheek. He only gave his answer when Hermione was about to get angry.
"The answer is, I didn't use any Curses."
"How is this possible?! You didn't use Curses, how could you cut such a huge rock in half?!"
Hermione felt that Bell was trying to fool her again.
"Don't be in a hurry, let me explain."
Seeing his girlfriend grinding her teeth again, Bell quickly explained, not to prevent her from being bitten, but mainly because he was afraid of breaking Hermione's teeth.
"You can think of Curses as a formula. Just like when solving a math problem, with the help of a formula, we can get the answer more easily."
However, this doesn't mean we can't arrive at the correct answer without formulas. Formulas provide convenience, but sometimes they can also become a constraint.
I simply conveyed the thought of 'wanting to cut that stone' to the magic within my body, and then released the portion of magic that received the thought.
Finally, the stone was cut open.
Hermione looked at Bell with a bewildered expression, seemingly oblivious to his awe.
Hermione wasn't actually unable to understand what Bell meant. The problem was that although she understood everything Bell said, because she lacked firsthand experience, Hermione always felt like she was looking at a landscape through a veil—vague and unclear.
Even Hermione didn't know if her understanding was the same as what Bell was trying to express.
Meeting his girlfriend's bewildered gaze, Bell simply smiled and offered no further explanation.
Some things, no matter how much others tell you, are useless if you haven't experienced them yourself. Only after experiencing them firsthand will you discover that things are actually quite simple.
"Hermione, when I was bored, I once made a rough classification of wizards' levels. Would you like to hear it?"
Bell suddenly asked.
"Think!"
Without any hesitation, Hermione nodded.
For Hermione, who is deeply in love, she wants to hear anything her boyfriend says, no matter what it is.
"Elementary Wizard is a wizard who uses Curses methodically. In the Magical World today, most wizards are Elementary Wizard."
Intermediate Wizard are those who have broken free from the shackles of Curses. They begin to trace back to their origins, able to communicate directly with magic. Wizards who reach this level are extremely rare in the Magical World.
Incidentally, I'm currently at the beginner level of Intermediate Wizard. Furthermore, based on my speculation, Professor Dumbledore is likely at the pinnacle of Intermediate Wizard, about to enter the Advanced Wizard level.
Advanced Wizard is one with magic, whose thoughts are instantly realized.
The Ultimate Wizard, omnipotent.
These last two levels are merely my wildest imaginations. Whether wizards can even reach such heights, I don't know. So just listen and don't take it to heart.
"Bell, where does Shanna stand?"
No sooner had Bell finished speaking than Hermione asked impatiently.
Bell knew his girlfriend would ask this question. He noticed that Hermione seemed to be showing signs of competing with Shanna.
"Shanna is at the advanced beginner level."
"And what about me?"
Hermione looked at Bell with anticipation.
"... No, not up to par..."
Even knowing that this answer might be a critical blow to Hermione, Bell still chose to tell the truth.
Only by understanding yourself can you find the right path forward.
Hermione stood there, speechless.
Bell's answer clearly exceeded her expectations. Hermione had initially thought the worst answer would be at least a beginner level.
How can there be anything substandard?!
There was no mention of this level before!
