Lupin Courting Death
"It's nothing... okay, just a small experiment."
Bell hadn't originally planned to explain to Lupin. However, seeing his girlfriend's almost overflowing curiosity, Bell reluctantly said a few words.
"As we all know, creatures in nature generally do not do things without a reason. The less intelligent a creature is, the more it will act according to its instincts."
Therefore, I speculate that the reason Boggart Transfiguration things that people fear is to absorb the emotion of fear, just as Dementor absorb the emotion of happiness.
So, I just tried injecting fear into this Boggart. And here's the result.
Okay, Hermione, you go upstairs and play—no, I mean, learn how to deal with the Boggart.
Bell skipped over Lupin and spoke directly to Hermione.
He is now quite dissatisfied with that biased old wolf.
Yes, after observing Bell, he has concluded that Lupin is Werewolf.
Actually, Bell felt a sense of unease when they first met on the train.
Judging from Lupin's gaunt face and tattered clothes, his living conditions seemed to be quite poor.
The problem is, Lupin is an adult wizard!
Bell had never seen an adult wizard in such a miserable state.
Given the current number of wizards, the supply of resources far exceeds the demand.
Even in Knockturn Alley, the infamous slum of the British Wizarding World, despite the Dark Wizard there appearing to be on the verge of starvation, not a single one of them is actually poor!
Pick any Dark Wizard, pin them to the ground and search them thoroughly; you're guaranteed to find several valuable Dark Magic Items.
So the reason they look so disheveled is simply because they've been studying Dark Magic all day and it's damaged their brains.
So here's the question: Is Lupin the kind of Dark Wizard who's ruined his brain through research?
Considering Dumbledore's past record of recruiting people, it doesn't seem impossible.
However, by observing Lupin's words and actions, Bell dismissed this possibility.
No matter how you look at it, Lupin is as normal as could be. He's at least more normal than half of all the wizards in the wizarding world.
So, there are really not many reasons left for Lupin's miserable situation.
After spending a little time observing Lupin a few times, Bell came to the conclusion. "Lupin is Werewolf."
After learning Lupin's true identity as Werewolf, a creature hated by everyone in the Magical World, Bell did nothing, nor did he intend to tell anyone else about it.
Unlike most wizards, Bell was quite interested in the existence of Werewolf.
If he had the time, he would love to study Werewolf in detail and in depth.
As for Lupin's presence, will it pose a threat to Shanna and Hermione?
Bell isn't worried about this at all.
When Werewolf transforms, it loses most of its spellcasting abilities, but in return, gains powerful physical abilities.
Therefore, Mad Bear and Ten Thousand Snakes will teach each other a lesson.
Hermione glanced hesitantly at Professor Lupin, and only after seeing him nod did she walk toward the ' Troll ' form of Boggart, who was crouching there trembling.
Upon sensing someone approaching, Boggart immediately perceived the other person's deepest fear.
The Troll rapidly shrank, eventually transforming into... "Bell"!
Bell smiled at Hermione, opened his mouth, and slowly said:
"I'm sorry, Hermione. I..."
The onlookers, who were curious about what Bell would say, were surprised to find that they could no longer hear Bell's voice.
You can clearly see Bell's lips moving, but you can't hear a single sound.
Lupin, being more experienced and knowledgeable, was the first to react.
He turned to look at Bell. Sure enough, he saw no surprise on Bell's face.
That's right, this is Bell's.
Upon hearing the fake "Bell" speak, Bell immediately set up Soundproof Barrier around Hermione to prevent others from eavesdropping.
Although Bell was also curious about what the fake "Bell" would say, and what Hermione's greatest fear was.
However, he didn't want these onlookers to know about his private matters with his girlfriend.
"I should have stood next to Hermione!"
For the first time, Bell felt a tiny bit of regret for his act of sneaking off to the corner to slack off.
Under everyone's watchful eyes, Hermione's face turned pale rapidly after hearing Bell's words.
She staggered back two steps, nearly falling to the ground. Tears streamed down her face; she had long forgotten any of the Riddikulus.
Hermione!
Bell mixed his voice with magic, which penetrated the Soundproof Barrier and reached Hermione's ears directly.
Bell's stern shout startled Hermione. She glanced back at the real Bell behind her and realized that she was in a Defense Against the Dark Arts, facing a Boggart.
"Slippery, Riddikulus!"
Hermione shouted the spell, and the fake "Bell" turned into a gray rat.
(Ron, standing nearby, felt inexplicably offended.)
Bell only lifted the spell and went to Hermione's side after Hermione successfully cast the Riddikulus.
He reached out and wiped away Hermione's tears, then gently pulled her into his arms.
"Whatever you just heard, it's all fake, it won't become reality, I promise!"
Bell reassured him in a soft yet firm voice.
"Really? Then what if... no, it's nothing..."
Hermione ultimately didn't ask the question.
Because she knew better than anyone else, even better than Bell, that if that were to happen, there would only be one possible outcome. Therefore, she saw no need to ask.
Looking at Hermione's dejected expression with suspicion, Bell became even more curious about what the fake "Bell" had said earlier.
However, Hermione's current condition is clearly not suitable for discussing this issue.
"Mr. Menethil, won't you give it a try?"
Seeing Bell and Hermione embracing each other without any regard for others, Lupin had to speak up. If this continued, his lesson would be impossible to continue.
These Little Wizard these days are getting more and more outrageous!
He's a single dog... cough cough! He, the professor, was watching right there, and these two dared to flaunt their "dog food" (a Chinese slang term for public displays of affection)!?
Do you really think he won't bite?
"No."
Bell would never tell anyone what his greatest fear was. That would be forcing him to kill someone to cover it up!
"Give it a try. Everyone has their own fears, and there's nothing shameful about that. Only by facing our fears can we overcome them."
Lupin, completely unaware that he was courting disaster, diligently fed Bell his toxic motivational rhetoric.
Bell is the most outstanding Little Wizard Lupin has ever seen. Perhaps only the Dark Lord from back then could surpass Bell?
So Lupin was genuinely curious about what Bell's greatest fear might be.
