Percy's Hostility
The next day, when Bell saw Hermione again, Hermione acted as if nothing had happened the day before, returning to her normal self.
After discovering that his girlfriend was no longer pressing the issue of "preparation," Bell finally breathed a sigh of relief.
The worries of young girls are simply too advanced for him to comprehend; he just can't understand them!
On the last Sunday before the Christmas Holiday, Hogwarts students once again had the opportunity to travel to Hogsmeade.
This is certainly not good news for Bell.
Rather than returning to Hogsmeade not long after, Bell would much rather stay in the warm and comfortable common room and study spellbooks with her sister.
He had only read a small portion of the magic books he had brought back from China and Japan.
However, Hermione was naturally not going to agree to Bell's suggestion that she stay at school. She wanted to take this opportunity to buy all the things she needed for Christmas.
Because Christmas is just around the corner, Hogsmeade is decorated even more beautifully than usual.
Various stores, catering to the festive atmosphere, have launched a variety of useful and non-existent Christmas limited-edition items, eagerly preparing to rake in this last wave of consumer spending.
As the longest leek among the harvested ones, Bell glanced at Hermione beside him, who was in high spirits. What else could he do but obediently get harvested?
┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌
"Bell, look! These are limited edition Christmas candies! And there's a Christmas cake over there, it looks so delicious!"
Hermione's neck was spinning rapidly, as if it had a small motor attached to it, without stopping for a moment.
The two were currently in Honeydukes Sweetshop. As a renowned candy shop throughout the British Wizarding World, it was practically a given that anyone visiting Hogsmeade would inevitably stop by to buy some sweet treats.
This means that the candy store was now packed with Little Wizard from Hogwarts.
Of course, as the newly recognized "Great Demon King" of Hogwarts, Bell doesn't need to worry about overcrowding.
Even though many people were so crowded that they could hardly breathe, no one dared to get within 1 meter of Bell.
At first, Hermione was quite dissatisfied with this differential treatment and wanted to argue with them.
Fortunately, Bell stopped his girlfriend from acting irrationally in time.
Just kidding, this kind of high-class treatment is something most people would beg for, okay?
After buying the candy, the two went to the Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions.
Under the shopkeeper's warm gaze, Bell bought Hermione an elegant light purple dress, along with matching shoes, gloves, and other accessories.
"Bell, this dress is too expensive!"
Clutching the dress Bell bought for her tightly in her arms, Hermione's eyes revealed both affection and heartache.
Although she didn't want Bell to spend too much money on her, there were special circumstances.
She couldn't possibly wear her Hogwarts uniform to the Bell Family dinner party, as Bell suggested, could she?
That would definitely leave a very bad impression on Bell's parents!
Braving the blizzard and Hermione's nagging, after buying what they needed, Bell led Hermione into the Three Broomsticks Pub.
The weather today is really not good. Compared to wandering around outside, it's much more comfortable to sit in a warm bar and have a few delicious drinks.
And Bell is not alone in sharing this view.
When Bell and Hermione entered the Three Broomsticks Pub, it was already almost full.
Just as Bell was considering whether to use his recently acquired "title skill" to create an empty table, a familiar shout saved the Little Wizard at one of the tables.
"Bell, over here!"
Penelope waved to him.
Upon hearing this, Bell led Hermione over and greeted them with a smile:
"What a coincidence, Penelope and Percy."
"What a coincidence! Hogsmeade is only so big, it's perfectly normal to run into each other. Alright, enough talk, sit down, there aren't any other empty seats."
"Is this a good idea? Won't it disturb your date?"
Bell looked at Percy, who was glaring at him with displeasure.
Percy really disliked this kid named Bell. It started with a man's intuition; he always felt that Penelope's gaze towards Bell was a little off, which made him very uncomfortable.
Later, he was even ambushed and knocked unconscious by Bell twice. This made Percy hate Bell even more.
That's right, it was a sneak attack!
Percy didn't believe that Bell, a mere third-grader, could possibly stand up to him, a soon-to-be seventh-grader.
He wouldn't believe those increasingly outrageous rumors circulating at Hogwarts. They must be deliberately spread to attract attention.
Penelope kicked Percy hard, which made Percy angrily look away.
Just kidding, this is her boss, okay?
After enrolling in September, Penelope officially began working for Bell.
Although Penelope was overwhelmed by all the messy information, the monthly income of 50 Galleon not only allowed Penelope to buy better clothes and cosmetics, but also improved her family's living conditions.
Thanks to this income, her father no longer had to go against his conscience and defend criminals in order to earn more money!
Noticing Penelope's subtle movements, Bell smiled but said nothing. He gestured for Hermione to sit down first, then went to the bar to buy two Butterbeer.
As for whether Percy will be unhappy?
Bell never cared from the beginning.
He wasn't familiar with the other person.
"Don't even mention it! Percy insisted on going in back then. Not only was it ridiculously expensive, but the tea was awful too!"
When Bell returned with the drinks, he saw Penelope complaining to Hermione with a disgruntled expression, and halfway through her sentence, she turned and glared at Percy.
"What are you talking about?"
Bell placed a glass of Butterbeer in front of Hermione, sat down, and asked curiously.
"We were just talking about Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop. My senior said she and Percy went in there once last time."
Hermione smiled and explained to her boyfriend.
Since Penelope and Bell reconciled last school year, Hermione and Penelope's relationship has progressed rapidly.
As Little Witch from Muggle families, Penelope and Hermione have a lot in common.
Whether it's worries or hobbies, the two are remarkably similar. Therefore, they have now become inseparable best friends.
"That's not Percy's fault. Wizards are indeed somewhat behind Muggle in these aspects. After all, the wizard population is too small."
Bell objectively spoke a fair word for Percy.
However, Bell's good intentions did not win Percy's favor. He snorted unhappily, which earned him an even harder kick from Penelope.
Seeing Percy's state, Bell completely ignored him and started chatting with Hermione and Penelope.
