The Difference Between a Father-in-Law and a Mother-in-Law
Behind Hermione, a middle-aged couple was walking towards her.
Needless to say, these two must be Hermione's parents.
"Hello, Uncle. Hello, Aunt."
Bell bowed politely to greet them, trying to leave a good impression on his future father-in-law and mother-in-law.
"Snort!"
Mr. Granger snorted unhappily.
He had seen the interaction between the other person and his daughter just now. Besides, this kid wasn't anything special; he was just a head on two shoulders.
Mrs. Granger secretly kicked her husband before turning to Bell with a broad smile.
"Alright, alright, you must be Bell. Come in."
As the saying goes, a mother-in-law is always more pleased with her son-in-law the more she looks at him.
Mrs. Granger displayed a completely different attitude from Mr. Granger.
The more she looked at Bell, the more satisfied she became.
He's tall, good-looking, and has a spirited air about him. And most importantly, my daughter likes him!
Nothing is more important than my daughter's happiness!
Bell did as he was told and went into the room.
This was Bell's first time visiting Hermione's house, and he looked around curiously.
The room wasn't large, but it was very well organized and didn't feel cramped at all.
The furniture and decorations are simple and elegant, giving people a sense of comfort and relaxation.
In this respect, the Bell Family is far inferior.
Although the Bell Family's castle is exquisite, beautiful, and luxurious, it may still cause some psychological pressure for first-time visitors.
It took Bell nearly a year to finally get used to the feeling of living in the castle.
"Bell, are you alright? Will we be too late?"
Watching her mother enthusiastically pour tea for Bell, Hermione asked in a low voice with some concern.
She didn't want to be late for her first meeting with Bell's parents, as that would definitely leave a very bad impression on Bell.
"Don't worry, I've allowed plenty of time."
Bell smiled and reassured him.
The banquet wasn't until 6 o'clock, but he came so early to pick up Hermione and her family so that they could have some time to talk.
"Can Auntie call you Bell too?"
Mrs. Granger placed a cup of black tea on the coffee table in front of Bell, sat down, and asked with a smile.
"Of course, in fact I prefer people to call me by my first name rather than my surname."
Bell said respectfully.
"Bell, did you also just teleport here instantly with a 'snap'?"
Mrs. Granger still vividly remembers how, during the summer vacation, that Magical Creatures, supposedly called House-elf, suddenly appeared in her living room with a "snap."
Moreover, she had specifically looked outside just now and did not see any vehicles such as cars.
"Yes, I Side-Along Apparition here."
"Then why didn't you just appear in the living room? Didn't your housekeeper say before that you couldn't be seen by outsiders?"
Please forgive Mrs. Granger for forgetting Lim's name; she was simply too surprised to remember anything else.
"Because I feel it's too impolite to appear directly in the living room. And even if I were outside, no one would notice me..."
Bell gave a brief explanation.
When Side-Along Apparition is performed, a strong spatial distortion and magical fluctuation occur around the wizard. This can cause other spells cast on the wizard, such as Muggle Repelling Charm, to be destroyed.
To avoid this, either the Side-Along Apparition must be high enough to produce minimal spatial distortion and Curses fluctuations, or the Muggle Repelling Charm must be high enough to withstand the disruption of space and magic.
With Lim's current magical skill, he is not yet able to do any of the above.
After chatting for 20 or 30 minutes, Bell felt it was about time and suggested they set off.
"Bell, how do we get to your house? Side-Along Apparition? Or Floo Powder?"
Hermione asked eagerly.
She had never used either of these methods of transportation before. This filled her with curiosity and anticipation for the journey ahead.
"Neither. We're riding Flying Car."
"Huh!? Why?"
Hermione looked disappointed.
Although she had never ridden Flying Car, she had ridden Flying Broomstick and Thestral. Therefore, compared to Flying Car, Hermione was more eager to experience the feeling of teleportation.
"Side-Along Apparition doesn't taste very pleasant. And while Floo Powder is a bit better, it's still a terrible experience for uncles and aunts who don't have magic in their bodies."
Therefore, if you use either of these methods to move, you'll have to get all dressed up again once you get to my house.
Even William and Elena don't use Floo Powder when attending important banquets.
That would leave their hair and clothes covered in dust.
Not to mention, the Granger couple didn't possess any magic. Even with Bell's protection, the spatial distortion would have made them vomit uncontrollably.
"Let's take the Flying Car instead!"
Mrs. Granger made the decision before her daughter could.
She had spent over two hours getting ready so she wouldn't embarrass herself at the wizards' banquet. She certainly didn't want to go through that again.
"Where's the Flying Car? By the way, what's Flying Car? Is it a car that can fly?"
Mrs. Granger peered curiously outside.
Could it be that she missed something before?
"Yes, that's a valid understanding. Please follow me."
After saying that, Bell took the lead and walked outside.
After finding a reasonably spacious spot in the garden, Bell pulled a miniature car model from his pocket.
Under the curious gaze of the Granger couple, Bell took out his Wand. He tapped the toy car lightly with the Wand and then tossed it forward.
The model quickly grew to the size of a regular car.
At Bell's prompting, the Granger couple, looking surprised, entered the Flying Car as instructed.
But once they came in, they were even more surprised.
The interior space is much larger than it appears from the outside. It could easily comfortably seat more than a dozen people.
"Alright, we're off now. Please don't be nervous, uncles and aunties, the Flying Car is very safe, you won't fall off."
After saying that, Bell controlled the Flying Car and flew into the air.
After the initial panic, the Granger couple quickly adapted.
After all, they were all people who had flown in airplanes, not to mention that Flying Car are much more stable than airplanes.
Considering that Hermione's parents were riding in Flying Car for the first time, Bell didn't fly too fast. Even so, it only took them less than an hour to arrive at the Bell Family.
"Oh~!"
Looking down at the exquisite castle standing on the plain, the Granger couple gaped in astonishment.
In this day and age, are there still people living in castles?
Is there electricity?
