I Want Them All!
Thinking back to his past life and his experiences at that company, Bell secretly reminded himself that he must never become a heartless boss!
Strictly speaking, Bell isn't even the boss now. The real boss is his father, William.
Moreover, Bell has no intention of becoming a boss in the future.
"Mr. Horner, someone will contact you within the next week regarding the job details, salary, and contract signing. If you have any questions then, you can ask the relevant staff."
Furthermore, if you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the contract, you can refuse to sign it.
After saying that, Bell gestured for the other person to leave.
"There are no complaints, and no one will refuse."
Horner grinned from ear to ear. Bell suspected he had no idea what he was saying.
After Horner left in high spirits, Bell took out a pen and wrote a capital letter 'A' in the upper right corner of the other person's resume.
"Bell, this..."
"What's wrong? Just say it."
Seeing Penelope's hesitant manner, Bell asked curiously.
"I'd like to ask, wasn't this interview a bit too hasty?"
Bell only asked two questions, then had the other person solve a not-so-complex problem. And... that's it?
Isn't this a bit too frivolous?
Penelope was somewhat worried, after all, Bell's daily routine was unreliable.
"Hey! Keep it simple."
Bell said casually.
Seeing Penelope's conflicted look, he thought she needed to use the restroom.
Seeing that the others also looked puzzled, Bell decided to explain a little.
Actually, it was mainly to explain to my younger sister.
"Most of the amazing plants are actually not difficult to cultivate. So there is no need to recruit outstanding personnel."
That's why I put the interview for the Magical Plant Breeder " position first.
Unlike Magical Animals, most magical plants have the advantages of being less dangerous and having strong vitality.
It's no exaggeration to say that even a complete Muggle, after about a week of training, can take care of many kinds of magical plants.
If it weren't for the existence of the Statute of Secrecy, Bell would have actually considered recruiting Muggle given the current severe shortage of manpower.
Therefore, the interviews for the Magical Plant Breeder weren't actually about deciding who would be hired or rejected. Bell would hire anyone who came for an interview, regardless of their background!
The reason for arranging interviews is to make a preliminary assessment of the talents and abilities of each wizard, so as to facilitate the selection of outstanding talents in the future.
Incidentally, the 'A' that Bell wrote down earlier was his rating for Horner. The highest rating is 'S', and the lowest is 'D'.
After listening to Bell's explanation, the women nodded, seemingly understanding but not quite. None of them had any experience in the industry, so they didn't know the details.
At Bell's signal, Penelope picked up the list again and called out the name of the next applicant.
"Mr. Melt Acevedo of Hufflepuff!"
Soon, a wizard walked in.
Aisweide walked to where Horner had been, plopped down without a word, and then stared longingly at Bell and the others.
"..."
Bell noticed that Mr. Aisweide seemed to be a little slow on the uptake.
"Ahem, Mr. Aisweide, you're here to apply for the job of Magical Plant Breeder, right?"
Bell confirmed.
"Yes."
"Alright, without further ado, please describe the properties of the Flame Flower."
"The Flame Flower is a magical Fire Attribute plant that grows in volcano craters and is often used to feed Fire Attribute Magical Creatures."
Additionally, Fire Dragon love to eat Flame Flower, so many Fire Dragon build their nests at the crater of a volcano.
Without hesitation, Aisweide shared his knowledge of the Flame Flower. After speaking, he looked at Bell and the others with anticipation.
Bell looked around. Apart from Hermione, Shanna and Penelope both looked speechless.
"Ahem, senior, why don't you explain this to Mr. Aisweide?"
Penelope was, after all, a deputy interviewer, and Bell would feel bad if she was only asked to take attendance.
Now that he had a chance to show his face, Bell kindly gave it to the other person.
"Although the name Flame Flower contains the word 'flame,' it is actually an Earth Attribute plant with only a trace amount of Fire Attribute."
Furthermore, while Flame Flower is often used to feed Magical Animals, this does not include Fire Dragon- breathing dragons. Fire Dragon are purely carnivorous Magical Animals; they do not eat grass.
"How is that possible!?"
Aisweide stared at Penelope in disbelief. He suspected the man was trying to fool him.
He remembered very clearly that everything he had said before was from a book, and he was absolutely sure he remembered it correctly!
"Mr. Aisweide, the book ' Merlin and the Dragon Knight's Affairs ' is a fictional novel, not a rigorous magic book."
Much of the content there is fictional and doesn't reflect reality.
Upon hearing Penelope's explanation, Bell turned his head in surprise and stared at Penelope.
"What are you looking at?"
Penelope glared at Bell with displeasure. Bell's gaze annoyed her.
Although Bell instinctively wanted to retort with, "What are you looking at!", it was clearly not the right occasion for a joke.
"Ahem, it's nothing. I just suddenly realized that you really are a senior, your knowledge is so broad. I've never even heard of that book you mentioned."
The book's title, coupled with the fact that it was set in Britain, always made Bell's mind wander in ways he couldn't help but have inappropriate thoughts.
Looking at Aisweide, who had a look of utter disbelief on his face, Bell was now certain that this guy wasn't just seemingly not very bright; he was genuinely not very bright.
"I would also like to add that the Flame Flower does not only grow in volcanoes, but it also exists in deserts, such as Egypt. However, the wizards there are used to calling the Flame Flower the ' Sunflower '."
Alright, Mr. Aisweide, please go back and wait for further notice.
After saying that, Bell picked up Aisweide's resume and wrote a 'D' on it.
"Please, please give me another chance! I'm sure I can answer the next question!"
Aisweide jumped up from the ground in a hurry, crying and pleading.
He failed every single NEWTS exam! If he fails his interview today, he'll have to go back to Old Home hometown to farm!
"Mr. Aisweide, please don't get agitated. Because time is limited, the interview time allocated to each person is very short."
Furthermore, when I said to go back and wait for notification, I didn't mean I wouldn't accept you. After comprehensively considering your abilities and the requirements of the job, you still have a very good chance of being hired.
Bell offered words of comfort with a gentle smile. He liked this kind of proactive employee.
