Fina's First Battle
"No, no, absolutely not!"
George shook his head frantically.
No way, he'd have to be crazy to choose that little girl as his opponent. The tragic fate of that "Champion" is still fresh in his mind; he has no intention of courting death.
His gaze swept over Hermione. This one wasn't much older than the other, and might even be a little monster. He couldn't choose her.
By using the process of elimination, after eliminating two potential trap options, what remains must be the optimal solution!
"I choose it!"
George pointed to Little Fina bouncing around on the table and spoke with great enthusiasm.
Just kidding. Anyone with eyes can see that this kitten is the easiest to deal with!
Although he didn't know why the other party would list such a small cat as a potential opponent, it wasn't within his scope of concern.
How to eliminate his opponent decisively, efficiently, and stylishly is what he needs to consider now.
"Awooo!"
Upon hearing that the male human had chosen her, Little Fina let out an excited wolf howl.
It aims to eliminate its opponent swiftly, decisively, and stylishly in order to avoid punishment!
Jumping off the table, Little Fina walked gracefully to a position 10 meters away from the other person.
After seeing that both sides were ready, Bell took out snacks and drinks and filled the table.
"Start!"
At Bell's command, George quickly raised his Wand.
"Expelliarmus!"
A flash of red light streaked past, so bright that Bell couldn't help but cover his face with his hands.
He was just about to praise the other party's speed when he was almost choked to death by the Curses the other party cast.
Please, the Disarming Charm is used to disarm wizards' Wand, but the problem is, where did Fina get Wand to disarm?
Sure enough, after the Disarming Charm hit Fina on the forehead, it only made the little one lean back slightly, and then nothing happened.
Little Fina stood there, completely bewildered, still unable to figure out what had happened.
It's not entirely its fault; the little guy has never experienced any combat since birth. Although it often observes the Bell siblings' training and has absorbed a lot of knowledge about Curses through observation, there's still a significant gap between theory and practice.
Therefore, strictly speaking, this was Fina's first battle, and it's understandable that she was a beat slow in reacting.
Feeling the pain in her forehead, Fina belatedly realized that this male human had actually launched a sneak attack!
Although strictly speaking, George did not launch a sneak attack, Fina didn't care about that.
It's still a baby. If it doesn't stand still and wait for it to make the first move, that's a sneak attack!
Enraged, Fina's eyes immediately turned red. Her predator instincts were activated.
Fina pursed her lips and silently transformed into a series of afterimages, like a ghost, darting past the enemy's side.
"Ouch—! It hurts, it hurts so much!"
The Wand fell from his hand, and blood quickly soaked his clothes. George clutched his right arm and collapsed to the ground, writhing in pain.
Smack!
Bell couldn't help but cover his face with his other hand as well.
Although Fina's claws are indeed very sharp, the little one is still quite small. Just look at Fina's petite size to know that its claws are only about 2 centimeters long.
Furthermore, even though the little guy was extremely angry, he did not forget that this was a competition, not a life-or-death battle, so his attacks deliberately avoided arteries.
In conclusion, George's injury is not serious at all.
Of course, it really hurt.
But no matter what, it shouldn't be enough to scream like a pig, right?
Moreover, doesn't he know that for a wizard, especially an ordinary wizard, losing his Wand is like being half dead?
Having barely managed to vent her anger, Little Fina gracefully returned to the table.
Incidentally, as the little guy passed by George, who was rolling on the ground, he also wiped the blood from his paws onto George's robe.
Shanna is very clean, and if she dares to go back with her paws covered in blood and dirt, she might get scolded.
"Fina, how are you? Is anything bothering you?"
She scooped Fina up in her arms, ignoring the fact that the mud on the little one's paws might soil her precious clothes, Shanna nervously checked Fina's body.
Although the little girl often scolds Fina, she actually cherishes Fina dearly, just as much as her Gege.
When Fina was struck by the Curses earlier, Shanna almost intervened. Fortunately, she found Fina unharmed and barely managed to restrain herself.
Now that Fina has returned victorious, Shanna doesn't even have time to praise her; she immediately gives the little one a full-body checkup.
Ignoring the loving interaction between the two little ones beside him, and looking at George on the ground, who seemed determined to wail forever, Bell had no choice but to stand up and walk over to him.
"Mr. George, please don't move. I can't treat your wound if you're like this."
Hearing Bell's words, George barely managed to endure the pain and lay motionless.
Bell first gave the other person a small bottle of Healing Potion, and then gently pressed his Wand against the wound.
"Quick Healing!"
A green light shone, and with the effect of the Potions, the wound on George's arm healed in just a short while.
"Alright, Mr. George, stand up."
"Are you really alright? My arm still hurts a little."
Snot, tears, and dirt mingled together, covering George's face and making him look like a pitiful beggar.
Lying on the ground, George carefully felt his right arm with his left hand, as if to make sure his arm was still there.
"Don't worry, it's just some lingering phantom pain. If you're still worried, you can go see Madam Pomfrey later."
Bell reached out and pulled the other man up from the ground, and gave him a free Scourgify to make George look less disheveled.
"Mr. George, we understand your skill level. You can go back now. Someone will contact you within a week."
To be honest, if he had a choice, Bell really wouldn't want to recruit them. Their level is just too low.
But right now, we are really short of staff.
So after careful consideration, Bell decided that he would give up!
His job was simply to record the information and then send it back. As for whether to hire them, he'd leave that to the professionals in the family. They couldn't just pay them a salary for nothing.
However, judging from George's current expression, Bell is very suspicious that even if they were willing to hire him, he probably wouldn't be willing to do it.
Hopefully, George won't develop any psychological trauma from today's events, otherwise Bell will feel guilty... for a minute.
Upon hearing Bell say that he could leave, George immediately turned and ran towards the castle without even saying goodbye.
Judging from his terrified expression, anyone who didn't know better would think that a group of Dementor were chasing him.
