Who Was the Murderer?
Of course, Bell had no intention of launching a grand "Burning Crusade".
After all, they don't have any Old Gods causing trouble here.
Not to mention, even if there really were a few tentacle monsters lurking in some unknown corner, they were beyond his ability to contend with. He'd be better off considering how to pledge allegiance to them.
Ahem, just kidding. Wizards will never be slaves!
After a barrage of meteor strikes and the finishing blows from Hellfire, the Thunderbird Wings wizards were able to mount a very limited resistance.
With her younger sister "bravely" leading the charge, Thunderbird Wings ' lines quickly and completely collapsed.
"Surrender and you won't be killed! Surrender and you won't be killed!"
Seeing that the time was almost right, Bell began to loudly urge them to surrender.
Unlike the Death Eater with impressive backgrounds, the lives of these United States wizards were of great value.
Even if they captured the Death Eater alive, they could only send them to Azkaban; they couldn't force them to sign a labor contract. Otherwise, their families would certainly not let the matter rest.
It's important to understand that among Pure-blood nobles, many value honor more than life itself.
Rather than be enslaved and tarnish their bloodline, they would rather perish together.
Even if they were sent to Azkaban, those cunning fellows might just find themselves out without a trace someday.
Therefore, it's better to just scatter the ashes.
It is simple, convenient, time-saving, labor-saving, and also saves air and land, making it a win-win situation.
These wizards, who come from American Mafia, often have no one backing them.
Even if there were other wizards in the family, it would be a pipe dream to try and save them in the face of the Menethil Family, such a behemoth.
Rather, Bell was probably more than happy for them to come and rescue people. It's rare to see such free laborers coming to your doorstep these days.
After the first person surrendered, the remaining dozens of wizards also put down their Wand, put their hands on their heads, and squatted on the ground.
It must be said that in any era and in any group, there will always be some die-hards.
A few of these people, through their unwavering will, ultimately achieved great things.
But most of them die a horrible death.
Just like the scene that is unfolding before Bell's eyes now.
Even knowing they were doomed, the three Thunderbird Wings wizards did not give up their fight.
They unleashed their full potential, even burning their lives, to withstand enemies many times their size and launch relentless attacks.
However, faced with an absolute disparity in strength, any resistance is futile.
In just about 10 seconds, all three wizards died heroically, none of them leaving behind a complete corpse.
Looking down at the mangled limbs that had been blown to his feet, Bell felt a pang of regret.
He hadn't even had a chance to ask the names of the three people.
Such courageous individuals who defy death deserve to have their names remembered.
"Clean up the battlefield as quickly as possible! The wounded will return to base with the prisoners shortly; the rest of you continue as planned!"
After taking a breath to express his regret, Bell shouted loudly for everyone to quickly clean up the battlefield.
The night is still long, Burning Crusade has only just begun... cough cough, slip of the tongue, really a slip of the tongue!
Thanks to the Hellfire Rain spell being even more powerful than expected, the progress last night was much smoother than anticipated.
Bell, who was in charge of raining fire, was exhausted.
Don't be fooled by the fact that he only unleashes a powerful attack at the beginning and then only occasionally intervenes when Shanna might be in danger. In fact, Bell's mental and magical energy consumption is greater than that of the others.
Even the usually energetic Shanna collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep as soon as she got back in the morning. This shows just how exhausted Bell must have been.
However, looking at the prisoners being carried away one after another, a sense of joy and satisfaction welled up in his heart, making him feel that all the hard work was worthwhile.
In one night, they attacked a total of 10 gangs, averaging one every half hour.
The largest of these gangs, like Thunderbird Wings, have nearly 200 wizards.
However, although these wizards were numerous, their combat abilities were mostly poor, and they could not be compared with the carefully selected and rigorously trained Auror and Special Operations Team members.
Even the smallest gang has more than 50 wizards.
In other words, in one night, Bell's group attacked approximately 1,000 United States wizards.
Excluding those who died in battle, there were more than 500 wizards who were eventually captured.
What an enormous number!
It's worth noting that there are only about 10,000 wizards in the entire Britain.
While the number of wizards in the United States exceeds that in Britain, it is only a little over 50,000.
If such results could be achieved every day, then in just over a month, Bell could lead his men to wipe out the American Wizarding World!
Of course, wiping out the American Wizarding World is just wishful thinking. Unless he's completely out of his mind, Bell wouldn't do something so outrageous.
Not to mention, after a night of intense and fierce fighting, the Action Team members were not unscathed.
Even the weakest wizard is still a wizard!
As long as an adult wizard holds Wand, he can cast a deadly Curses at any time.
On the battlefield, Curses intertwine and crisscross. Even though the Action Team members have undergone the most rigorous training and are equipped with the finest magical artifacts, if they are unfortunately struck by multiple Curses simultaneously, they can still be injured or even killed.
Moreover, the raid on the headquarters of 10 gangs, with the fate of most of their key members unknown, was bound to attract the attention of other gangs.
However, because these gangs have various conflicts, they cannot unite without truly figuring out the killer's identity.
After all, who knows if the murderer might be hiding among them?
Although the Menethil Family is the prime suspect, the others are not entirely without suspicion.
Most importantly, they didn't believe the Menethil Family had that kind of power. Otherwise, why didn't the other side take any effective measures when they had been so aggressive before?
Just kidding, if the Menethil Family truly possessed the power to "annihilate ten cities in one night," they wouldn't have dared to be so aggressive.
Otherwise, if a large-scale conflict were to break out, even if we were to win in the end, people would still die in the fighting.
In the end, the United States wizards won, but their gang was wiped out. What was the point then?
After ruling out the Menethil Family, the only remaining possibility for such a feat is... I still can't think of any other power capable of doing so.
Even if the Magical Congress of the United States of America were to mobilize all its resources, it probably couldn't accomplish something like this, right?
This is really awkward...
