Born at the Wrong Time

"Baby! Did you miss Mom?"

The moment the cruise ship came to a stop, a figure jumped down from the deck and pulled Bell into a tight embrace.

"Uh, Mom, why are you here?"

Bell could not have felt more awkward. Being hugged so tightly by his own mother in front of so many people made him so embarrassed he practically wanted to silence everyone present.

"I came to pick you up, of course!"

As she spoke, Elena released her son and gave her daughter a gentle hug as well.

Ever since her children had been born, this was the first time she had been separated from them for a year... though it seemed it had not quite been a full year?

In any case, it was the first time she had been apart from them for so long.

So when she learned that Bell had decided to return to Britain aboard the newly opened Magic Cruise, she decisively dumped her work on William yet again and came to welcome her children home herself at the earliest opportunity.

So she definitely was not slacking off. Really!

"Are these all your friends? Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Menethil Family as our guests."

Only now noticing the group in the distance, Elena smiled and greeted them.

She was delighted that her son had made so many friends, especially since quite a few of them were girls.

Do not misunderstand—she did not have any improper thoughts. But it never hurt to be prepared. As a "qualified" mother, she had to consider every possible situation for her son, right?

"Some are. The others are friends of Shanna and Hermione."
