At night, the cool breeze dispelled the summer heat, but it could not disperse the irritation in Harry's heart.

The streetlamp overhead made an intermittent buzzing sound, and its flickering light was rather unpleasant.

He kicked a pebble in the middle of the road hard, then reluctantly headed toward "home" with a bottle of soy sauce in hand.

He had really wanted to watch the Flying Car Race. It was not that he liked Flying Cars that much; in fact, compared to them, he still preferred his own Firebolt.

More importantly, watching the race would have given him an excuse to get far away from the Dursleys. That was what he truly wanted.

Unfortunately, Ron's father had only managed to get tickets for four people this time.
