After splitting up, Hermenium entered the Slytherin Common Room without much difficulty.

The common room was pitch-black. Only the flames in the fireplace stubbornly gave off their last trace of light.

As she slowly made her way toward the girls' dormitories, Hermenium even had the leisure to inspect the entire common room. She was especially fascinated by the Black Lake overhead. The arrangement of placing the common room beneath the lake struck her as particularly novel.

I wonder if I'll get a chance to set an Explosive Curse here later?

If I blew open the barrier overhead and let the enormous volume of Black Lake water come pouring down, that would certainly be quite a sight.

With extremely dangerous thoughts turning through her mind, Hermenium finally entered the girls' dormitory area. Comparing the signs outside the doors, she slowly headed deeper inside.

Suddenly, Hermenium froze in place as a chilling sensation rose within her.

What had she seen? Why was there an Obscurus in Slytherin's girls' dormitory area!?
