Hogwarts' Midnight Little Theater

An Obscurus often wandered around the Slytherin girls' dormitory area at midnight. Of course, there was no way no one would notice.

In fact, not long after the school year began, some Slytherin Little Witches had encountered the mysterious black shadow in the dormitory area.

These Little Witches had never seen an Obscurus. Most of them had never even heard of one. Naturally, people were afraid of this unknown, mysterious existence. Though if they had known it was an Obscurus, they would probably have been even more terrified.

As the number of witnesses grew, rumors about the "mysterious black shadow in the Slytherin girls' dormitory area" gradually spread throughout Hogwarts.

Before anyone could attempt to lift the veil of mystery surrounding the shadow, Hogwarts' spiritual pillar—Peeves—bravely stepped forward and solemnly declared before the entire school:

"I! Peeves! Take responsibility for this!"

It was said that Professor McGonagall had been so furious that she "hunted down" Peeves for three days and three nights. Unfortunately, Peeves was similar in nature to an earthbound spirit. Though he could not leave the castle, as long as Hogwarts remained standing, no one could do anything to him.

Thus, the matter could only be dropped in the end.

However, from then on, the Slytherin Little Witches rarely left their dormitories at night.

They did not want to deal with Peeves' pranks in the dead of night. If things went wrong, they might not get any sleep at all, and they would be exhausted the next day.

Hermenium entered the Gryffindor Common Room with ease, leaving the Fat Lady behind with a baffled look on her face.

Poor Fat Lady. She had been inexplicably awakened twice in one night. More importantly, she had failed to see the culprit's face both times.
