Of course, it wasn't because he was doing anything shady. The truth was that Yomi could not be seen right now—or, more accurately, she could not be seen by him.
The fierce winds during their flight had already sliced Yomi's body until it was covered in blood. Naturally, the clothes she had been wearing could not possibly have remained intact.
In fact, Yomi's clothes had been catastrophically damaged, leaving her completely naked.
If someone suddenly turned on the lights at a time like this, Bell had no confidence that he could keep himself from looking. He had never thought he could withstand temptation, so he always stayed away from it at the source.
