"Heh! Why don't you tell me exactly what you think I'm thinking?"
After looking Bell over carefully and confirming that, aside from seeming a little disheveled, he was not injured, Hermione finally relaxed—and became even angrier.
What, kid? Were you really planning to blow up the Earth?!
"Uh... well..."
Bell was at a loss for words.
How was he supposed to know what Hermione had misunderstood this time? He had merely blurted out that line in a moment of panic.
"Hermione, actually..."
"Enough with the 'actually'! Tell me, where exactly are you right now?!"
Irritated, Hermione had no interest in listening to Bell's nonsense—nonsense that could not even fool a ghost, yet was apparently meant to fool her.
"Where am I? I... I'm..."
"Think carefully before you speak! I'm telling you, you only get one chance. If you dare lie to me, I'll contact Elena Aunt right now and tell her that you're doing dangerous things again."
As the saying went, everything had its nemesis. Hermione truly had no way to deal with Bell, nor did she have any way to deal with Shanna, but she could complain to Elena Aunt and let Elena Aunt handle Bell.
She was highly experienced in the skill of tattling, after all!
"Cough, cough! Don't! Don't! I'll tell you! I'll tell you, all right?!"
Bell had only just managed to escape his mother's "claws" and had not even had the chance to properly enjoy his long-lost "freedom." If Hermione went and told on him, he might end up living under "surveillance" for the rest of his life.
"I'm... actually on the Moon."
Confess leniently, resist harshly. Seeing Hermione about to unleash her ultimate move, Bell could only surrender.
"The Moon? What are you doing on the Moon?"
