Whether she knew the specifics of what Bell was doing now was, to Hermione, useless beyond satisfying her curiosity.
After all, Hermione knew that once Bell had made up his mind about something, it was generally difficult for her to change it. Not to mention that now that Bell had already begun his research, there was even less chance she could stop him.
So, merely to satisfy her curiosity, she would greatly increase the likelihood of confidential information being leaked. Hermione felt that was completely not worth it.
Besides, what she cared about most was not what Bell was doing, but...
"Bell, promise me you won't take any more risks, okay?"
As a Gryffindor, telling someone not to take risks really went against her identity. But whenever she thought of Bell's arms being completely severed before, Hermione feared that if Bell kept recklessly doing as he pleased, one day he might suddenly end up getting himself killed.
Even now, Hermione still had nightmares from time to time when she slept at night, dreaming of Bell dying a miserable death.
Compared to her pride and dignity as a Gryffindor, Hermione cared far more about her boyfriend's safety.
"Don't worry, Hermione."
Bell put away his flippant manner and looked seriously at Hermione, without the slightest evasion in his eyes.
"Hermione, magical research can never be entirely without risk. But I can promise you that I will make thorough preparations before every experiment and keep the risks within a controllable range. I won't make you worry or feel sad again."
"I-I wasn't worried about you at all, hmph!"
Under Bell's affectionate gaze, Hermione once again experienced the long-forgotten sensation of her cheeks burning like fire.
After her standard tsundere reaction, Hermione suddenly remembered something and stopped her hand from pressing the hang-up button.
