Magic Experiment

In exactly thirty seconds—not a second more, not a second less—Domis put away his Wand and connected the processed Polar Yeti meridians in his hand to the instrument before him as well.

The instrument itself was not complicated. Its main body consisted of three crystal-clear spheres. The spheres were made primarily from the inner membranes of Magic-Drawing Ghosts and possessed powerful Magic Power capacity and binding strength.

(Though Magic-Drawing Ghosts had the word "ghost" in their name, they were actually a species of Magical Animal unique to Australia. Magic-Drawing Ghosts resembled jellyfish, except they lived on land. These creatures floated through the air using Magic Power and could use their tentacles to draw Magic Power from other magical creatures, storing vast quantities within their bodies. Their inner membranes were exceptionally tough and could bind large amounts of Magic Power, preventing Magic-Drawing Ghosts from bursting apart and dying after drawing in too much Magic Power.)

Complex magic arrays were inscribed beneath each sphere. The array beneath the central sphere was particularly intricate and served as the core of the entire instrument.

The three spheres, which had originally been separate, were now connected by the stems and meridians Bell and Domis had processed, serving as Magic Power conduits. All that remained was to finish injecting Magic Power before activating the instrument and beginning a new round of experiments.

After Domis finished installing the conduits, Bell also completed the Magic Power infusion into one of the spheres and put away the Inferior Philosopher's Stone in his hand.

Next, he took out an Ice Core from an ordinary Ice Element and injected Magic Power into the sphere at the other end.
