With Bell as such a detestable enemy, Ron had never relaxed for even a moment over the years.
At most, he occasionally played Wizard's Chess or a couple rounds of Canyon War...
As the saying went, Heaven rewarded those who worked hard. Ron already possessed considerable talent, and after years of diligent training, while his exam scores still left much to be desired, his actual spellcasting ability had advanced by leaps and bounds. Even in all of Gryffindor House, he ranked among the very best.
Thanks to this, Ron had managed to defeat his good friend Harry and, together with Hermione, successfully secure the position of Gryffindor House prefect.
(In truth, Harry had been busy with Quidditch training and some important task he could not tell Ron about, so he had voluntarily declined the prefect position.)
As the saying went, know yourself and know your enemy, and you would never be defeated. Ron had not become complacent just because he was now a prefect. Instead, he thoroughly investigated every aspect of Bell and Hermione.
After gathering evidence from many sources, Ron finally became one hundred percent certain that Bell had not become a Ravenclaw prefect. In fact, Bell had not appeared at Hogwarts at all since the start of term this year.
Although Hermione kept insisting that Bell had taken some time off from Snape for personal reasons, what kind of leave could last two months? That was almost as long as summer vacation!
Ron absolutely did not believe that Snape, that old bat with venom dripping from his mouth, would be kind enough to grant a student two months of leave. That had never happened in Hogwarts' thousand-year history.
So there was only one truth: Bell had been expelled from Hogwarts!
Ha! Hahaha! Ahahahaha!
Ahem, who was laughing? No
