Drawing Frostmourne from his waist and holding it level, Bell poured Magic Power into it. Icy-blue mist of Magic Power drifted from the skull's eye sockets and nostrils, while the runes on the blade lit up one after another.
Frostmourne had two ways of use.
The first was to use Frostmourne as a source of Magic Power. Bell would draw its Magic Power into his body before casting Curses.
With this method, Bell could cast Curses as he pleased, making it more flexible. However, limited by his own physical strength, he was currently unable to wield Frostmourne's full power.
The second was to use Frostmourne as a Wand. Bell would pour his own Magic Power into it before casting Curses.
With this method, Frostmourne served the same purpose as a conventional Wand. However, because the Magic Power within the blade was too powerful, while it greatly enhanced the power of Curses, it also increased the difficulty of controlling them. A moment of carelessness could cause accidental injury, so it had to be used with caution.
Of course, if Bell became strong enough, these two methods could actually be combined into one. Only then could Frostmourne truly shine with its own brilliance.
Carefully increasing the spell's power bit by bit, Bell waited for roughly five seconds. Once he felt it was about enough, he gripped the longsword in both hands with the blade pointed downward and drove it forcefully into the ground.
From Hermione's perspective as she watched nearby, the Magic Sword in Bell's hand suddenly produced a powerful suction force. Yet neither the surrounding air nor the rocks and soil on the ground showed any sign of gathering toward Bell. The sharp contrast between what she sensed and reality made Hermione extremely uncomfortable, and her mind swam with dizziness.
Crack—crack!
