The Firewall Didn't Work

"Both teams, take your positions!"

Once all the players had gathered at the center of the pitch and bowed to one another, Madam Hooch put the whistle between her lips and instructed them to make their final preparations before the match began.

The two Keepers mounted their brooms, pushed hard off the ground, and swiftly flew to their goalposts. The remaining players straddled their brooms, knees slightly bent, their eyes fixed on the Quaffle in Madam Hooch's hand, ready to take off at any moment.

Bell came before Madam Hooch and mounted his Flying Broomstick as well. After awkwardly shifting around twice, he signaled that he was ready.

Although he had trained with the other members of the house team several times recently, he had barely ridden a Flying Broomstick throughout his life, so it still felt somewhat awkward.

"Is everyone ready?"

Madam Hooch made one final confirmation.

"Very well, then the match officially begins!"

"Tweet~!"

Madam Hooch tossed the Quaffle high into the air. On the ground, Bell and Gryffindor's Chaser pushed off at the same time, shooting toward the Quaffle like rockets soaring into the sky.

After finally giving in to Professor Filius Flitwick's request, Bell had agonized for a long time over which position he should take.

To be honest, Bell did not particularly care which position it was. He had not trained for any of them, so he was a complete beginner either way.

Keeper was somewhat passive. Bell could guarantee that the other side would not score, but how many points Ravenclaw could earn was beyond his control. If Ravenclaw had not scored 150 points by the time the opposing Seeker caught the Golden Snitch, they would still lose in the end.

Taking that into account, Bell could only reluctantly give up the Keeper position
