Gege Ran Off with an Old Man!?
Shanna has been in a very good mood lately! Even the torrential rain outside can't extinguish the flame in her heart.
Why is she in such a good mood?
That's because my Gege is about to have a holiday!
Shanna hasn't seen her Gege in so long. Video calls don't count; seeing Gege through a screen only slightly eases her longing for Gege.
It's really only a tiny bit!
The last time her Gege came home was at Christmas! She gave Gege Fina as a Christmas present, and in Gege, she received a very pretty and fun Butterfly Hairpin. Since receiving the clip, she has worn it every day and has thoroughly tested its abilities.
The objects tested included the walls and gates of her own castle, as well as the armor and statues inside. In short, almost everything that came into view was gently touched by the little butterfly controlled by Shanna.
Then one day, William came home to a shocking discovery. "How did the Defense Barrier on our castle break?!"
The father, in a great panic, questioned the House-elf, but they had all been House-elf by Shanna and kept her secret well. So, in the end, the father still didn't understand what had happened.
However, her annoying mother, Elena, gave her a meaningful look after hearing about this, but ultimately said nothing.
Incidentally, the condition Shanna used to buy House-elf was that she wouldn't use butterflies to scratch them.
In short, after trying everything around her, Shanna was surprised to find that nothing could stop the little butterflies. She even tried using her Shield Charm herself, but it didn't work.
As expected of the Gege!
Previously, Shanna had been really looking forward to her Gege coming home for Easter. But she was told that she wasn't allowed to leave school during Easter?
This is so strange! The Easter holiday is a full two weeks long! It's not much shorter than Christmas!
An angry Shanna wrote a letter to the headmaster of Hogwarts, hoping he would let her Gege go home for the Easter Holiday. But that wicked old man named Dumbledore insisted that it was the rule and there could be no exceptions.
Why can't there be exceptions! She'd heard her Gege say that this old man named Dumbledore was wicked, and you couldn't believe a word he said. And her Gege was right!
"Sigh~! There are still 7 days, 9 hours, 27 minutes, and 13 seconds until my Gege's vacation starts. Why is time passing so slowly!"
To alleviate her loneliness, Shanna decided to find something to do.
After my Gege said he wanted to keep more pets at home for Christmas, my dad started collecting rare or docile Magical Animals from all over the place.
Currently, the family has a nest of Niffler, several Occamy, and three Unicorn (two large and one small). There are also supposedly a few Thestral, but Shanna has never seen them.
The book says that only those who have witnessed death can see Thestral. But she has clearly already witnessed so much death. Fish in the river, mice in the fields, bears and deer in the mountains, and even the ugly creatures her Gege brought over—she has unwittingly, truly unwittingly, killed so many of them.
Who knew they were so fragile!
But why can't she see Thestral?
Shanna even asked her Gege about this. But her Gege said he wasn't sure about the characteristics of Thestral either, and they were currently researching them. They had previously recruited volunteers, but they had been rejected.
Even her Gege wasn't sure, so Shanna decided to help Gege figure it out. However, after researching a lot of information, Shanna discovered that this was a long-term task.
Normally, Shanna's favorite game is riding around on Unicorn, but today, she wants to play something different.
She brought the nest of Niffler to the castle and let them search for treasures throughout the castle, intending to snatch them away once they found them.
Shanna initially thought the Niffler would be lucky to find a few Bronze Knut in the corners of the castle, since the House-elf always kept every corner spotless. However, to Shanna's surprise, the Niffler had actually found a huge treasure!
The treasure was hidden in the Small Dining Room on the first floor, containing a total of 5,000 Galleon and some beautiful Gemstone.
Shanna found it very strange. Her family rarely used this Small Dining Room, and no one usually came here. Who could have hidden the treasure here?
However, Shanna was only slightly curious before putting the question out of her mind. Whoever hid the treasure, now that she had discovered it, it was hers.
After violently suppressing the Niffler ' rebellion, Shanna picked out some of her favorite Gemstone and put them away. As for the rest, she first rewarded the Niffler with a few Galleon —she was a good girl who always rewarded those who had done good—and then decided to give the Shanna to her mother for safekeeping.
At dinner, Shanna took out the treasure she had found during the day and gave it to her mother. Her mother was very happy and said she would keep it safe for her. So why was her mother so happy when she was just helping to keep it safe and hadn't even given the treasure to her? Shanna was puzzled.
As for the fact that Dad slept outside the castle that night, Shanna said, "Isn't that quite common? Mom said Dad likes the fresh air outside."
Finally, her Gege will be back tomorrow! Shanna has already started mentally rehearsing what she should say and how she should react when she sees her Gege tomorrow.
During Christmas, in her excitement, she accidentally knocked the castle gate open, and she was worried about it for a long time. But instead of scolding her, her Gege praised her for improving the power of her Curses! So now Shanna is thinking about what she should knock open tomorrow.
The next morning.
Shanna woke up 10 minutes earlier than usual today. After her routine workout, Shanna rushed into her parents' bedroom and dragged her lazy parents out of bed. It was almost 7:30, and they were still lazing in bed! What if they missed picking up their Gege if they didn't get up earlier?
Then, as if struck by lightning, Shanna was told by her parents, "Your Gege might not be coming home this summer."
"..."
"You're lying! How could my Gege not come back?!"
Shanna shouted excitedly, "My Gege was so looking forward to coming home!"
In fact, it was only the day before the holiday that Bell told William that Nicolas had agreed to see him, and that Dumbledore would take him to Nicolas's place on the day of the holiday.
Because there had been no news for a while, Bell thought he would have to wait a while longer.
Bell had planned to tell Shanna about it that evening, but seeing her sister's happy face on the screen, she ultimately couldn't bring herself to say it. By the time she came to her senses, the video call had already ended.
"It's true. Bell is going to see Nicolas Flamel with Dumbledore. He might be back later today, but more likely he won't be back until the last few days of summer vacation, or he might not come back at all," Elena explained, looking at her youngest daughter with concern.
She was only suddenly told about this yesterday. Although she knew Bell wanted to see Nicolas Flamel about something, she didn't expect it to be to learn Alchemy from him. She thought Bell just wanted to buy something from Nicolas Flamel.
That William, he didn't even give her a heads-up about something so important. If she hadn't thrown him out just two days ago, he wouldn't have been able to get in the door last night!
"I don't believe it! I'm going to ask my Gege!"
After saying that, Shanna ran out of the room.
Shanna wanted to cry because she had just confirmed with her Gege that Gege really might not be coming home for summer vacation!
Faced with her Gege's apologetic gaze, Shanna couldn't bring herself to say anything willful. She believed that her Gege must have had his reasons for doing what he did, and that she should support Gege in doing what he wanted to do.
Shanna didn't know who Nicolas Flamel was, but she knew who Dumbledore was.
It must be that wicked Dumbledore who bewitched my Gege with sweet words! He really is a bad old man!
