A streak of light cut through the cold, dark expanse of space before finally stopping near a vibrantly colored planet.

Unlike Earth, this planet, temporarily designated Life Planet Number 1, had land covering roughly 50% of its total surface. Due to variations in its natural environment, its land bore the red of barren earth, the yellow of deserts, the green of forests, and the white of polar regions. Together with the blue of wetlands and lakes, it formed an exceptionally beautiful sight.
At the very least, it looked far more beautiful than Earth, whose vast regions had already been encroached upon by skyscrapers.
The deck opened, and Bell was the first to step out. Standing aboard the Williams and gazing at the beautiful planet in the distance, he found the excitement in his heart increasingly difficult to contain.
