Transformation Accident and Soul Beast Plans

The Silver Dragon King recuperated for ten thousand years in the core region of the Star Dou Great Forest. An accident during her transformation into human form divided her into Gu Yue and Na'er, with one half swept away through an unexplained Space-Time Rift. Gu Yue retained the primary personality and seventy percent of their origin, expecting Na'er's portion eventually to return to her 15 24.

After awakening, Gu Yue secretly gathered information and prepared a counterattack against humanity. Upon locating the Golden Dragon King's Divine Core inside Tang Wulin, she ordered Di Tian and Xiong Jun to capture him and seize it. Her goal was to fuse with the core, restore the Dragon God, and enable the soul beasts' revenge 24 28.

Eastsea Academy and the Spirit Pagoda

Gu Yue attended Eastsea Academy's Class Zero while concealing much of her strength. When Na'er arrived as her Spirit Pagoda assessor with Xiao Chen, Gu Yue recognized her immediately and accepted a fight intended to settle their relative standing 22 24.

Her prolonged duel with Na'er left both injured and exhausted. Gu Yue then challenged Xiao Chen, whose Wither Head shattered her ice wall before Soul Sand Devour immobilized her. Despite her defeat, Na'er passed her assessment. Gu Yue subsequently withdrew from Eastsea Academy and transferred to the Spirit Pagoda 33 34 35 53.

Over the following three years, she stopped suppressing her displayed talent and reached Soul Ancestor. She also repeatedly sought Xiao Chen's company, resolving both to surpass Na'er and to make him fall in love with her. Their virtual combat record nevertheless stood at ten losses for Gu Yue and no victories 53.

Shrek Academy and Xiao Chen

Gu Yue joined Xiao Chen and Na'er for a Tianhai Grand Competition match against Shrek's team. Later, during the trio's encounters with Shrek's Inner Court students, she secured two victories against higher-ranked opponents before withdrawing to avoid exhausting herself 42 59.

At Shrek, Gu Yue took responsibility for Xiao Chen's meals and daily needs. He gave her a White Dragon Core in payment, while she later offered him the much more valuable Gold of Life as a sincere return gift. Her insistence that he was the only person she had truly allowed into her heart prompted him to reconsider treating her as an enemy 73 89 90.

Their growing closeness did not resolve their conflicting loyalties. Gu Yue feared how Xiao Chen would respond when she eventually acted against humanity, while he increasingly considered distancing himself before her pursuit of the Dragon God Core made them opponents 98 133.

The Extraterrestrial Threat

After unidentified attackers devastated part of the Star Dou Great Forest's Core Area, Gu Yue ordered Di Tian to secure the surviving captive, search for further intruders, and maintain the existing balance with humanity 66 67.

Later, she connected the forest attack with artificial sea monsters, concluding that an outside force had likely been invading the Douluo Plane for some time. Believing Xiao Chen to be the Plane's Child, she urged Na'er to recover their strength, investigate the invaders, and protect him 126.

Gu Yue ordered a temporary alliance with humanity against the Extraterrestrial Forces despite Di Tian's objections. She explicitly refused to abandon the soul beasts' grievances, promising that humanity would eventually answer for its treatment of them 130.

Dragon Valley and the Ender Dragon

Gu Yue joined Shrek's Star Luo exchange with the private intention of finding Dragon Valley and recovering the Dragon God Core. Increasing instability in the valley's space made her fear that the core and the dragon remains would be lost before she could enter 114 117 141.

After Zi Ji's investigation failed to locate the entrance in Monster Academy, Gu Yue summoned the ferocious beasts. She planned to merge with Na'er, travel to a spatial weak point she had identified, and have the beasts force an opening. The reunited Gu Yue Na subsequently entered the Dragon Tomb and confronted Xiao Chen over the core 145 148.

Dragon Valley's transformation into The End brought the Ender Dragon into the conflict. Although the reunited form possessed the Dragon God Core, the dragon's attacks severely injured her. Forcibly unsealing her power aggravated both old and new injuries, limiting her to approximately third-rank god combat strength 150 152 153.

Na'er's Declining Essence

Gu Yue was operating independently again by the Sea God's Fate Matchmaking Conference. During a later private conversation, Na'er affirmed her attachment to human life and Xiao Chen, while Gu Yue mocked the idea of the Silver Dragon King becoming a human's subordinate 169 171.

Gu Yue nevertheless accepted Na'er's choice to live with the person she loved, but refused to let her share of their essence disappear. She promised to find Na'er and merge with her when that essence approached collapse. Afterward, her teacher urged her to confront her love for Xiao Chen, while Gu Yue maintained that her aspirations could not be restrained by her feelings 172.

Appearance

Gu Yue's human form has long black hair, fair skin, delicate features, and a slender figure, usually accompanied by a cool, composed bearing 118 129.

Personality

Gu Yue is normally calm, rational, meticulous, and reserved. In Class Zero, she keeps such a low profile that her classmates rarely exchange more than a few sentences with her each day. Her composure is less reliable around Na'er, whose claims to be the elder sister repeatedly provoke her pride 24 26.

Her identity as the Silver Dragon King initially makes her dismiss human Soul Masters as insignificant. This arrogance contributes to her decision to challenge Xiao Chen while already injured and exhausted. She is nevertheless capable of practical restraint: during Shrek's challenge matches, she withdraws once two victories have sufficiently established her strength 24 33 59.

Gu Yue conceals her identity through improvised explanations about her Martial Soul, ancestry, and secluded family. Her pursuit of Xiao Chen begins with competitive determination and a desire to win him over, but develops into genuine concern, jealousy, and uncertainty over her feelings. By the latest supplied chapter, she acknowledges the weight of her ambitions while refusing to let romance displace them 53 73 89 98 172.
