Ch. 3The first Soul Spirit, choosing the Evil Eye

After Xiao Chen awakened his Wither Martial Soul, Leng Yaozhu took him to choose his first Soul Spirit from the Spirit Pagoda’s collection. He rejected three powerful darkness Soul Spirits and chose a three-hundred-year Evil Eye, leaving him to begin attuning to it.

  • Leng Yaozhu brought Xiao Chen to the Spirit Pagoda’s Soul Spirit storage room and explained the importance of choosing his first Soul Spirit.
  • Leng Yaozhu offered Xiao Chen three top-tier hundred-year darkness Soul Spirits, but Xiao Chen said they were not right for him.

Ch. 7Na'er? What about the Silver Dragon King?

  • Na'er noticed two men watching her and feared they had come to take her back, then asked Leng Yaozhu to adopt her.
  • Leng Yaozhu saw Na'er's Silver Dragon Spear and invited her to join the Spirit Pagoda, and Na'er eagerly accepted.

Ch. 8Na'er entered the tower, career planning

Na'er settled into the Spirit Pagoda beside Xiao Chen, while he realized that the Silver Dragon King had split earlier than expected and worried that Gu Yue might attack Tang Wulin. The next morning, Leng Yaozhu introduced Xiao Chen and Na'er to Battle Armor's four core professions and asked them to choose secondary professions, leaving Na'er looking to Xiao Chen for guidance.

  • Na'er looked to Xiao Chen to decide what profession she should choose, while Xiao Chen already had an answer in mind.

Ch. 9Choosing a profession, settling on forging

  • Xiao Chen firmly chose forging despite Leng Yaozhu warning him that it was difficult and physically demanding.
  • Na'er first chose forging to follow Xiao Chen, then chose mecha repair after he joked that repairers had little work to do.
  • Leng Yaozhu accepted both choices, and the Spirit Pagoda's staff brought them stacks of textbooks that left Na'er bewildered.
  • Leng Yaozhu explained that specialized instructors would teach their professions and promised to recommend Xiao Chen to a forging teacher if he showed talent.
  • Xiao Chen recognized that Leng Yaozhu might introduce him to Zhen Hua, the era's only Divine Blacksmith.

Ch. 10Hundred Refinement in One Strike, Tang Hao's Fury

Xiao Chen completed Hundred Refinement with a single hammer strike, revealing that he could see Command Block code on the finished metal. The anomaly caused planar authority to dissipate faster, leaving Tang Hao furious and unable to identify who was interfering with his plans.

  • Na'er abandoned her difficult mecha repair lessons and went to the forging room to see whether Xiao Chen was exhausted from blacksmithing.
  • Zhou Ming taught Xiao Chen the basics of Hundred Refinement and asked him to complete thirty steady hammer strikes.
  • Xiao Chen struck the metal once and purified it into Hundred Refined Metal, while seeing a Minecraft command appear on its surface.
  • Zhou Ming praised Xiao Chen as a forging genius, but only Xiao Chen noticed the command code.
  • Na'er watched in disbelief as Xiao Chen succeeded, while Tang Hao sensed his planar authority draining faster and angrily demanded to know who was disrupting his plan.

Ch. 11Mental power testing, entering the Spirit Ascension Platform

Ch. 12The Mandala Snake, a veteran of the trade

Xiao Chen and Na'er entered the Spirit Ascension Platform for combat training, where Xiao Chen discovered that his Wither Martial Soul could drain the vitality of nearby plants and absorb their spiritual energy. As he ventured deeper to find stronger Soul Beasts, a Mandala Snake attacked, leaving Leng Yaozhu poised to stop the training.

  • Leng Yaozhu explained how the Spirit Ascension Platform worked and guided Xiao Chen and Na'er into separate pods.
  • Xiao Chen and Na'er appeared in different parts of the virtual forest, and Xiao Chen activated his Wither Martial Soul.
  • Xiao Chen's aura rapidly withered nearby plants, whose spiritual energy flowed into him, while Leng Yaozhu watched in disbelief.

  • A Mandala Snake lunged at Xiao Chen, and Leng Yaozhu prepared to intervene because she feared the Soul Beast could injure him.

Ch. 13Slaying the Mandala Snake

Xiao Chen killed a three-thousand-year-old Mandala Snake with his Wither Martial Soul, shocking Leng Yaozhu, who had been ready to end his trial. After the snake’s energy strengthened his Evil Eye Soul Spirit past seven hundred years, Xiao Chen decided there was little reason to keep hunting in the Primary Spirit Ascension Platform.

  • Xiao Chen faced a three-thousand-year-old Mandala Snake while Leng Yaozhu watched anxiously from the monitoring room.
  • Xiao Chen unleashed his Wither Martial Soul, whose aura froze the Mandala Snake with fear.

  • Na'er used Silver Dragon's Wrath to kill three Wind Baboons, but the rest attacked her from every direction and left her unable to react.
  • Xiao Chen sent Wither Heads raining down on the pack, killing all the Wind Baboons and absorbing their spiritual energy to advance his Soul Spirit past a thousand years.
  • Xiao Chen landed beside Na'er, who hugged his arm and greeted him joyfully, while he wondered why the Silver Dragon King was acting so affectionate.

Ch. 15The Spirit Ascension Platform Ends, Gu Yue

Xiao Chen and Na'er advanced their Soul Spirits to the thousand-year level in the Spirit Ascension Platform, then returned to Leng Yaozhu, who praised them and warned them not to become conceited. • Na'er told Xiao Chen that Leng Yaozhu had assigned her to assess a newcomer and invited him to come along.
  • Xiao Chen noted that Na'er was already strong enough to handle the mission alone and wondered why she needed his help.
