Under everyone's gaze, the suitcase Himeko had dropped on the ground actually began to transform and reassemble.
"Everything coming next is just for you."
In the blink of an eye, the rectangular suitcase reassembled into a drone that should have had four rotors, yet had no blades spinning on its supports.
The only spinning thing that could be called a blade was the Monomolecular Saw mounted on an extending mechanical arm beneath the drone, whirling madly and throwing off fiery sparks.
Himeko controlled the Monomolecular Saw, tracing an elegant arc through the air. The spinning blade landed directly on the shadow, and searing flames instantly set its entire body ablaze.
"Aaaah-!"
Struck head-on by the Monomolecular Saw, the shadow let out a shrill scream of pain.
With a whole pile of debuffs on her, Himeko wasn't about to show the monster before her the slightest mercy.
She was going to saw this monster to death!
The saw blade was incredibly sharp, easily slicing both the shadow and the Rocking Ride into pieces.
The noisy Rocking Ride stopped its racket, and the drone flew back to Himeko's side, keeping watch for any danger that might appear nearby.
Himeko herself felt her way to the wall and leaned against it, waiting for the pile of negative effects on her to expire.
"Cough. You really didn't hold back when you made your move. I'll remember this."
Being gentle didn't mean she was a pushover. Himeko remembered everyone who had kicked her while she was down and would settle the score with each of them when she met them in the future.
[Level Three Danger killed. Obtained basic supply pack ×10.]
After the Paradise Wraith died amid a cacophony of wails, it left ten boxes behind. According to the National Fortune notification, opening them could yield all sorts of supplies.
"Perfect timing. There aren't any fresh ingredients on the train, and some decorations and furniture need to go on the agenda too. Cough, cough, cough. Ideally, I'll get some strong cold medicine."
The flu taking effect made Himeko feel quite miserable. Once skills such as blindness and weakness wore off, she eagerly began opening the packs.
No one could resist a pile of loot left behind by a defeated enemy.
Himeko opened all the supply packs and found that most of their contents were things that seemed potentially useful, but probably wouldn't actually be useful.
A packet of expansion bolts, for example, or a claw hammer.
Still, there were quite a few useful things. Himeko took them out and ranked them according to their importance to her.
[Magical coffee berry ×1 (Who knows what the coffee brewed from it will taste like.)] [Complete set of kitchen supplies (Helps the user become a five-star chef.)] [Medical kit ×1 (Unnecessary for minor illnesses, useless for serious ones.)] [Emergency energy block ×1 (Can meet an ordinary person's energy needs for an entire day. As for the ingredients, well, there's no way they aren't cockroaches.)]
"Hmm... I'll have to keep the coffee berry safe. As for the kitchen supplies, Shut Up should still be lying in a cargo crate, and the kitchen really does need these. It would be even better if I could find some seasonings. I could cook myself."
The medical kit's item description made Himeko somewhat worried about its quality, but at this point, she had to find a way to deal with her flu.
The Trailblaze could resist environmental anomalies, but man-made disasters weren't something it could ward off.
There were only three kinds of items in the medical kit: an unlabeled bottle of pills, a roll of bandages, and two adhesive bandages.
"Is this cold medicine? Whatever. At least it isn't rat poison."
After taking the medicine, Himeko stuffed everything into her fairly small suitcase.
The power of the Trailblaze was pretty amazing, wasn't it?
While Himeko was tending to her injuries, over in Huaxia...
Every supply pack Himeko opened brought a small increase in Huaxia's resources.
[Contestant obtained kitchen utensils for the first time. All Huaxia citizens' cooking skills increased slightly.] [Contestant obtained an emergency energy block for the first time. Huaxia's food supplies increased slightly.] [Contestant obtained a medicine bottle kit for the first time. All Huaxia citizens' resistance increased slightly.] [Contestant obtained a magical coffee berry. Whenever Huaxia citizens brew coffee, its flavor will be randomly selected.]
[The rest makes sense to me, but what's with the coffee berry?]
[Is nobody concerned about why Himeko's suitcase can turn into a drone? That seems like some pretty advanced technology.]
[Why is there a chainsaw in her suitcase?!]
[Judging by how proficient Himeko is, she seems to know her suitcase and chainsaw very well. And her movements are so decisive. I'd stake my head on it-there's definitely more to her than meets the eye.]
[I agree. She doesn't even look like she's from Huaxia. I suggest thoroughly investigating three generations of her family.]
[Why can that suitcase hold everything? Is that right?]
[I strongly demand that Himeko hand over the spatial technology in her suitcase and the Astral Express.]
[If it were used in housing, wouldn't something that takes up one square meter outside be huge inside? That would be a major contribution!]
Himeko had easily dealt with the trouble before her, and the people of Huaxia naturally breathed a sigh of relief. By contrast, people in other countries looked far less pleased.
[Baka! How is that woman still alive?! Cheating! She must have cheated!]
[With so many countries attacking her at once, there's no way she could handle it! Something must be wrong here!]
[I demand that Huaxia immediately release all information on Himeko to uphold fairness in the National Fortune game!]
[Do those commentators have natto for brains? Why did they have to attack Himeko? Couldn't they just follow her and copy her answers?!]
[This is our Great Neon Empire's chance to expand! Are you a spy sent by Huaxia?!]
[All you can do is shout a few things anonymously online. Come face me offline if you've got the guts!]
[You think I'm scared of you?!]
When Neon's three commentators saw Himeko easily resolve her predicament, a few beads of cold sweat appeared on their foreheads.
All of them had heard her perfectly clearly. Himeko had explicitly said she would take revenge on those who had attacked her in the future.
"Damn it, how much longer will Inukai take to reach the amusement park?"
"At Inukai's speed, ten kilometers should take about three hours... Only half an hour has passed."
"Baka! That damn Inukai! Never mind Himeko-even the ones riding bicycles and horses have covered most of the distance! Doesn't he know how to run?!"
Neon's communication channel hadn't opened yet, so its commentators had no way to tell Inukai that the three of them had already made him an enemy who carried a chainsaw.
Completely unaware, Inukai hummed a tune as he pushed his handcart, making his way toward his destination in a relaxed, cheerful mood.
As far as he was concerned, he had a Five-Star Guardian God. Dealing with other people would be a breeze.
At the amusement park, Himeko sat on the broken Rocking Ride and rested for a full half hour before all the negative statuses on her finally wore off.
"Ugh, being sick really does feel awful."
In her mind, Himeko marked down another debt against Codfish Country, which had inflicted the flu on her.
If I get the chance to meet them, a little punishment would be fine. I'll just tie them up, hang them off the back of the Astral Express, drag them along for a while, then throw them into a river to feed the fish.
Himeko beckoned to the drone. It flew back to her side, transformed back into a suitcase, and returned to her hand.
Himeko had no intention of putting it back into her storage space. She simply carried it in her hand in case people from other countries tried any more tricks, or she encountered some other danger.
