The guards here were not particularly strong. Most were ordinary soldiers, with the occasional mage, but none posed a threat.
The player soon found the keys to both cells.
First, they opened Thiollier's cell on the right.
Thiollier rose from the corner and looked at the Tarnished in some surprise.
Thiollier: "Uh... thanks."
"I only had one day left before getting out, but thanks for remembering me."
Then they opened Leda's cell on the left.
Leda looked radiant, nothing like someone doing time: "Thank you. I would have gotten out after a while anyway, but a little earlier is nice."
She turned to Thiollier.
"Thiollier, give me some more accessories. The ones from last time worked very well."
Thiollier: "Lady Leda, please stop!"
"This is your third time here this month..."
Leda thought nothing of it: "Their loyalty to Lord Miquella isn't absolute, which makes them absolutely disloyal!"
Thiollier: "(Sigh)"
The player was starting to see it. This Leda... seemed to be a fanatic?
Leda: "Oh, right. You seem to be a Tarnished too. Interested in serving Lord Miquella?"
The player selected: [Miquella?]
Leda nodded, pride in her voice: "Lord Miquella is an Empyrean. Although anyone could become an Empyrean, surely Demigods have a better chance than those mortals?"
"So, come offer your strength to Lord Miquella!"
Thiollier: "Uh... about that. I think Lady Trina is better..."
Leda whipped her head around and glared at him: "Shut up!"
Thiollier: "..." ߹ ߹
He lowered his head and said no more.
The player, meanwhile, was very interested in the name Leda had mentioned: Miquella... that name again.
Back at the Mistwood Ruins, Blaidd had called Miquella "the root of all evil" and said he had turned him into a wolf. Now Leda was saying Miquella was an Empyrean worthy of allegiance.
