Within mere moments of the battle beginning, Dunn had defeated three third-tier professionals as effortlessly as if he were taking a leisurely stroll.
Now, both the bespectacled man and every other member aboard the merchant ship displayed profound despair and fear.
"Damn it! Pal, get back here..."
"Ah!! What the hell is this thing?!"
The bespectacled man was startled. Just as he was about to call back the third-tier professional charging toward the enemy ship, a piercing scream suddenly rang out in the distance!
His heart clenched, and he hurriedly turned to look. Pal had successfully boarded the enemy warship, but what stunned him was that-
Ropes flew all over the enemy warship, coiling around Pal's entire body like snakes. Amid that dense mass of ropes was an enormous anchor with a hideous face, gleaming coldly!
The ropes seemed alive, binding Pal so tightly that he could not move an inch.
Pal struggled desperately, trying to break free, but the heavy anchor mercilessly held him back, reducing every effort to nothing.
Seeing Pal in danger, the bespectacled man burned with anxiety.
His eyes widened as he stared at the distant battle, wishing he could fly straight to Pal's side and lend him a hand.
Just then, the enormous anchor, several meters long, floated eerily in midair and raised itself high.
It seemed to be gathering strength, preparing to deliver a fatal blow to the trapped Pal.
Then it came crashing down.
Every heavy blow rang out like thunder, accompanied by Pal's agonized screams.
His cries grew weaker and weaker. Clearly, Pal could no longer withstand such ferocious attacks, and the light of his life was gradually fading.
The bespectacled man's face instantly turned paper-white, drained of all color.
He watched the scene with wide eyes, his face filled with terror.
