A few days later, Dunn walked alone through the streets of Lionheart City.
Over the past few days, Galen and the men he had brought had been running around gathering intelligence and contacting the Lion Knights.
They had made some progress, but from the look of things, it would take a few more days to get results.
That was why Dunn had come out today to walk around and see how things stood.
Annie, meanwhile, had stayed at the residence to rest and conserve her strength. After all, once the Lionheart Sword Saint fell, they would have to prepare to flee for their lives, whether Dunn's scheme succeeded or not.
Walking through Lionheart City's bustling streets and looking at its oblivious residents, Dunn could not help silently mourning for them.
Once chaos erupted, these residents would bear the brunt of it, and the vast majority would die.
After all, at a time like that, practically no High-Tier Classholder would care about the lives of these commoners.
Even the High-Tier Classholders of the Duchy of Lionheart would be no different.
However, although Dunn felt a pang over their fate, he would not warn them to leave Lionheart City. If he did, even if he only warned a small number of people,
he could easily get himself killed.
After all, even with things having reached this point, the Duchy of Lionheart had taken no measures to evacuate the commoners, and had even tacitly allowed people from various factions to enter the city.
If Dunn rashly meddled, the Duchy of Lionheart's people would very likely take action against him.
The Lionheart Sword Saint was not dead yet. At this stage, anyone who caused trouble would have to die!
So Dunn could not possibly court death for the sake of these commoners' lives.
