Were they test subjects released by some Wizard, or had something else caused this?
Dunn frowned slightly as he watched the monsters gradually advance toward his group.
This was far from the first time Wizards had released test subjects into the Gold Panning Plains. Because of the environment here, and because most races here had no rights, it was recognized throughout the Old World as one of the Wizards' testing grounds.
If these were test subjects released by some Wizard, things would be troublesome.
To Wizards, High-Tier Classholders were the best opponents for testing their subjects. Here in the Gold Panning Plains, among all these feeble nonhuman races, there might not even be more than a handful of High-Tier Classholders.
Once their group was discovered, the Wizard who might be here certainly would not let them leave easily.
Now Dunn could only pray that they had not accidentally wandered into some Legendary Wizard's testing grounds.
After all, if these were merely test subjects released by an ordinary Wizard, Dunn could ignore them entirely. But if a Legendary Wizard was involved, they would all be meat on the chopping block.
Just as Dunn was silently cursing his luck, the monsters' advance was suddenly halted.
Dunn swept the area with his Observation Haki and detected many more Classholders' life signatures all around.
There were quite a few High-Tier Classholders among them.
Watching the nonhuman Classholders converging from every direction, Dunn faintly sensed a touch of battle-hardened discipline about them.
Was this an army???
Dunn watched in some astonishment as these nonhumans of all different appearances worked together, isolating and slaughtering the monsters one by one under their leaders' direction.
Only now did Dunn suddenly realize something was wrong.
Ever since they had entered the Gold Panning Plains, these nonhumans had been coexisting
