Hearing this, Dunn frowned slightly. "What are they here for?"
"They've come to offer goodwill."
Hoffman immediately explained.
"The envoy mentioned the relationship between the Campbell Family and the former Kingdom of Lyon and wanted to speak with you in person. Since you weren't here, they've been waiting on the island."
"Mm, I'll find some time to meet them later."
Dunn nodded.
Most likely, they had seen Dunn's rise and come to offer goodwill and win him over. However, even though he belonged to the same secret organization as His Majesty the [Emperor], Dunn certainly would not openly side with the Lyon Empire.
That would be little different from courting death. After all, if he did so, even leaving aside the Wizard Council's reaction, the Legendaries behind the other Pirate Kings would certainly come to demand an explanation from the Legendary backing Dunn.
And when those Legendaries failed to find that Legendary Wizard, they would surely tear Dunn apart alive instead.
So no matter what, Dunn could not openly take sides.
