Divinity was one of the foundations of godhood.
It was extremely difficult to refine.
Normally, even with an abundant supply of faith power, refining and condensing it would take decades, if not centuries.
However, doing so during an apotheosis ritual could indeed accelerate the process at the cost of consuming twice as much faith power.
Still, this carried considerable risks, and once the condensation of divinity began, it could not be stopped midway.
Deification was a life-or-death undertaking to begin with. Once faith power ran short, the apotheosis ascender would perish immediately!
Of course, Dunn knew another way to quickly obtain divinity that no one currently knew about-or rather, that some might know about but had not disclosed.
That was to hunt demigods or deities and take their divinity!
However, demigods were relatively scarce at this stage, and all served major powers. Most importantly, Dunn was no match for a demigod yet.
As for deities, how was that any different from seeking death?
With an ample supply of faith power, Dunn's deification proceeded smoothly, without a single mishap.
Soon, one point of death divinity took shape through refinement.
Normally, at this point, he would already have become a demigod.
But with plenty of faith power available, Dunn did not stop there.
Instead, he continued condensing death divinity!
One point of divinity was enough to sustain a demigod.
But attaining weak power required five points of divinity!
Dunn wanted to try using the apotheosis ritual to refine five points of divinity in one go!
After all, he still had a fairly abundant supply of faith power. He was nothing like those following an unorthodox path who were still feeling their way forward.
The cult he had prepared in advance gave Dunn a constant source of faith power, leaving his advancement to
