Dunn had not been idle over the years, either. He had been refining divinity all along.
Eventually, he refined a strand of blood divinity, successfully becoming a Demigod with both blood and death attributes.
The ability to use the Death River on other Legendaries was something he had gained after becoming a blood Demigod.
Dunn had begun his rise as a pirate, and Atlantis was also a nation of pirates. His name had spread across the entire sea.
Atlantis was manageable, with Dunn's Church deliberately guiding its people.
People elsewhere were different. All sorts of mixed faith flowed to Dunn one after another.
In the end, a strand of ocean divinity was born by accident!
Normally, at Dunn's current stage, a strand of divinity-even ocean divinity-would have been a considerable improvement for him.
It would also give him another option after becoming a God.
But the danger ocean divinity brought was out of proportion to its benefits!
The entire world knew that authority over the ocean lay in the hands of the Mother of Sea Monsters!
Of course, that did not mean other Legendaries had no ocean authority. But once you possessed ocean authority, you could no longer go out to sea!
Once you went to sea, sea monsters would inevitably attack you!
