Although Dunn recognized what was happening, he would not stop it. This was the trend. The birth of pantheons would make the Gods' structure more complete and strengthen them.
The Gods were powerful now. In the eyes of some ignorant Deities, they had even surpassed the Legendary figures of the Main Plane.
However, the Deities' greatest problem was that they could not bring their full strength to bear on the Main Plane. Under these circumstances, no matter how powerful the Deities were, authority over the Main Plane still belonged to the Legendary figures.
Dunn was also preparing to establish a pantheon. Having acquired a divine office, his strength had reached a threshold. Without advancing to greater power, it would be very difficult for him to grow any stronger.
Thus, if he wanted to improve at present, he could only consider expanding his forces.
Fighting alone was always the inferior approach, even after attaining greater power.
However, he needed to give careful thought to whom he would take under his command. After all, Gods would not always get along so harmoniously. The Gods simply had not yet found anything worth killing one another over.
For one thing, faith on the Main Plane had yet to reach saturation. For another, the Gods had yet to fully appreciate the importance, conflicting nature, and exclusivity of divine offices!
The more instances of the same divine office there were, the less power any single instance would provide.
Besides that, divinity and Godheads could both be plundered. The Gods had already discovered this during the previous divine wars.
It was just that, for now, these things were not worth the Gods recklessly going to war to seize them.
Dunn, however, understood all of this perfectly.
Once the Gods had concluded their deliberations, they soon began to
