Ch. 481Lolth's Madness

Dunn watched the Ancient Gods overwhelm the deities while waiting for the Fate Overlord to turn the battle around. After Lolth’s clones were destroyed, she tore open a passage from the Abyss and entered the Astral Plane with several powerful Abyss Lords to confront the Elf Empress.

  • Dunn and Wrath of the Firmament fought halfheartedly while the Heaven's Mandate Dragon Emperor attacked Tiamat and the Ancient Gods shattered deity clones.
  • Dunn doubted the deities could hold out much longer and wondered how the Fate Overlord would break the deadlock.
  • Lolth, enraged as the Elf Empress beat her back, destroyed her clones and forced open a passage from the Abyss.
  • Lolth’s true body entered the Astral Plane and declared that she would kill the Elf Empress.
  • Several Abyss Lords arrived behind Lolth, including Yeenoghu and the Succubus Queen, Malcanthet, whom the Elf Empress recognized.

Ch. 482The seal was broken

The Succubus Queen Malcanthet and other Abyss Lords joined the battle and overwhelmed the Elf Empress, while the Fate Overlord secretly broke the seal holding the War Overlord. The War Overlord emerged from his Divine Kingdom and charged into the Astral Plane battle.

  • Malcanthet arrived on the battlefield and told the Elf Empress she had joined the fight to increase her future chances of invading the Main Plane.
  • Lolth, Malcanthet, and the other Abyss Lords attacked the Elf Empress and forced her onto the defensive.
  • The Elf Empress called to Avalon for help while the Fate Overlord and the Natural Ancient God continued fighting.
  • The Fate Overlord sacrificed his fourth clone to break the seal in the former Lyon Empire territory, revealing that his true body was fighting the Natural Ancient God.
  • The War Overlord emerged from his Divine Kingdom, surrounded by blood-red Divine Power, and charged into the battle.

Ch. 483Greater Power

The War Overlord overwhelmed the Flame Ancient God Kratinar, destroying his divine domain and forcing four Ancient Gods to join the fight against him. The Fate Overlord revealed that he had recently advanced to greater power and challenged the Natural Ancient God, bringing the battlefield to a stalemate.

  • The War Overlord clashed with Kratinar, and the shock waves swept across the battlefield as the Ancient Gods revealed their full strength.
  • Kratinar opened his flame divine domain, but the War Overlord's divine kingdom shattered it and severely injured him.
  • Gaia called for several Ancient Gods to attack the War Overlord, and Totilan, Bacryl, Kurt, and Kratinar joined the fight.
  • Gaia urged the Natural Ancient God Avalon to take the battle seriously, while the Fate Overlord revealed his greater-power aura.
  • The Natural Ancient God attacked the Fate Overlord, and their battle helped bring the war to a temporary stalemate.

Ch. 484Ascension to greater power

The Elf Empress fled into the Natural Divine Domain as Lolth and the other Abyss Lords pursued her, turning the battle between the Natural Ancient God and the Fate Overlord into a larger confrontation. Elsewhere, Dunn received faith power from the deaths caused by the Cleanser and the Atlantis Empire’s war, allowing him to ascend to greater power.

  • After three days of fighting, the wounded Elf Empress could no longer hold off Lolth and the other Abyss Lords, so she fled toward the Natural Ancient God and the Fate Overlord.
  • Lolth charged into the Natural Divine Domain after the Elf Empress, and the Succubus Queen and other Abyss Lords followed her.
  • The Natural Ancient God and the Elf Empress faced Lolth and the pursuing Abyss Lords while the Fate Overlord watched, and the battlefield’s heaven’s mandate began to shift.
  • Dunn sensed a surge of faith power flowing to him from deaths in the Main Plane and realized that the Cleanser’s destruction and the Atlantis Empire’s war had met the conditions for his ascension.
  • Dunn silently ascended to greater power and became one of the Astral Plane’s supreme powerhouses.

Ch. 485The Scales Tipped Completely

Dunn advanced to greater power during the battle and revealed his strength by killing Wrath of the Firmament instantly with Finger of Death. The other combatants realized Dunn could now threaten even the Ancient Gods and the strongest beings with Heaven’s Mandate, shifting the balance of the war.

  • Dunn’s divine power reached 50 units, advancing him to greater power without anyone noticing.
  • Wrath of the Firmament sensed Dunn’s power surge and guessed that Dunn had deployed his true body.
  • Dunn concentrated death divine power and cast Finger of Death at Wrath of the Firmament.
  • Wrath of the Firmament recognized that Dunn had advanced to greater power, but the death spell overwhelmed and killed him instantly.
  • The Ancient Gods and the Elf Empress, Wizard Speaker, and Dragon Emperor feared that Dunn could kill them as well, and the scales of war tipped toward him.

Ch. 486Betrayal and a Curse

After Dunn killed Wrath of the Firmament, the Natural Ancient God betrayed and killed the Elf Empress, Angharradh, when she joined him to escape. Angharradh cursed the Astral Plane and Main Plane to be forever severed, and the Dragon Emperor fled as the battle’s outcome turned against the Gods.

  • Dunn killed Wrath of the Firmament instantly, and the Natural Ancient God and Elf Empress discussed escaping the battle.
  • The Natural Ancient God lured Angharradh to his side, then pierced her chest with a vine and drained her power.
  • Angharradh cursed the Astral Plane and Main Plane to be forever severed, sacrificing her life as her curse disrupted the Gods’ supply of faith.
  • The Gods learned of Angharradh’s death, while Lolth laughed, the Abyss Lords waited, and the Natural Ancient God looked grim.
  • The Dragon Emperor fled toward the Astral Plane Depths, leaving Tiamat unable to catch him.

Ch. 487Once again

Dunn joined the Goddess of Magic in fighting the Wizard Speaker, who sacrificed his life to curse the Main Plane and Astral Plane into separation. With faith from the Main Plane cut off, Dunn found his divine kingdom’s petitioners could sustain him, while the Natural Ancient God demanded to know what Dunn and the Fate Overlord intended to do.

  • The Elf Empress’s death left the Wizard Speaker as the last Heaven’s Mandate, and Dunn hurried to help the Goddess of Magic defeat him.
  • The Wizard Speaker threatened to curse the planes, but the Goddess of Magic insisted that killing him mattered more than the consequences.
  • As Dunn arrived, the Wizard Speaker sacrificed his life to curse the Main Plane and Astral Plane into eternal separation.
  • The curse severed the faith lines from the Main Plane, but Dunn’s petitioners in his divine kingdom reassured him that he could endure for several thousand years.
  • The Fate Overlord and Natural Ancient God arrived, and the Natural Ancient God confronted Dunn and the Fate Overlord about the sealed-off Main Plane.

Ch. 488The War Overlord Goes Completely Mad!

The Fate Overlord revealed that the Main Plane’s seal would not last, then fled after Dunn exposed that he had known this all along. As the Ancient Gods gained ground, the War Overlord escalated the battle by revealing his Divine Body, leaving him and four battered Ancient Gods fighting after their Divine Kingdom and Divine Domains vanished.

  • Dunn questioned whether the Fate Overlord had known the Main Plane would eventually reopen, and the Fate Overlord’s pause revealed that he had.
  • The Fate Overlord left, and the Natural Ancient God rejected the Ancient Gods and fled toward a deity’s Divine Kingdom using coordinates the Fate Overlord had given him.
  • The Ancient Gods began gaining the upper hand, while Dunn judged that he and the Goddess of Magic could only shift the balance slightly before their side eventually collapsed.
  • A tremendous blast stunned Dunn, who saw the War Overlord’s blood-shrouded Divine Body fighting four battered Ancient Gods.
  • The War Overlord’s Divine Kingdom and the four Ancient Gods’ Divine Domains had vanished, leaving the five powerful figures locked in battle.

Ch. 489Wipe Them All Out

The War Overlord detonated his Divine Kingdom and attacked the four Ancient Gods, leaving them badly weakened and turning their uneasy alliance against itself. Dunn and the Goddess of Magic intervened to block the Ancient Gods’ escape, and Dunn declared his intention to wipe them all out.

  • The War Overlord detonated his Divine Kingdom, destroying the four Ancient Gods’ domains and severely injuring them.
  • The War Overlord absorbed the scattered divine power and continued attacking, while the Water Ancient God, Golden Ancient God, and Thunder Ancient God tried to withdraw and left the Flame Ancient God exposed.
  • The Water Ancient God fled, and the Flame Ancient God prepared to blow himself up with the War Overlord and the other Ancient Gods, but a torrent of divine power stopped him.
  • Dunn appeared and forced the Water Ancient God back into the fight, while the Goddess of Magic moved to block the other side of the battlefield.
  • Dunn told the Goddess of Magic that the weakened Ancient Gods could be stopped, then announced that he intended to wipe them all out.

Ch. 490A God's Fall

The Ancient Gods tried to exploit the battle between the War Overlord and Dunn, but the Flame Ancient God seized a gap in the Goddess of Magic’s defenses and attempted to escape. Dunn intercepted him with his Divine Kingdom and death divine power, wearing down his life force until he killed him.

  • The Ancient Gods joined forces and tried to draw the War Overlord toward Dunn, but Dunn retreated beyond the War Overlord’s range.
  • The Ancient Gods shifted their escape attempt toward the Goddess of Magic, and the wounded Flame Ancient God charged through a gap in her defenses.
  • Dunn’s Divine Kingdom struck the Flame Ancient God, and Dunn trapped him in a torrent of death divine power.
  • The Flame Ancient God’s life force dwindled as he tried to break free and called on Gaia, Airlina, and Pennywise for help.
  • Dunn pressed his blackened finger against the Flame Ancient God’s head, then withdrew as the severed finger exploded inside him and killed him.

Ch. 491He Blew Up

Dunn killed the Flame Ancient God, prompting three other Ancient Gods to flee while the remaining trio fought the War Overlord. When the Ancient Gods gained the upper hand, the War Overlord self-destructed and targeted the Thunder Ancient God.

  • Dunn killed the Flame Ancient God and collected the red essence left behind, hoping to learn how Ancient God power worked and free himself from reliance on faith.
  • Gaia, Elinar, and Pennywise fled in separate directions rather than help Totilan and the two other Ancient Gods.
  • Totilan and his companions abandoned hope of escape and unleashed their full power against the War Overlord.
  • The three Ancient Gods drove the War Overlord back, and he self-destructed when his attacks failed to turn the battle.
  • The three Ancient Gods scattered to escape the blast, but the War Overlord fixed his sights on the Thunder Ancient God.

Ch. 492Mad God!

Dunn trapped the Thunder Ancient God, Water Ancient God, and Golden Ancient God in the aftermath of the War Overlord’s self-destruction, killing the Thunder Ancient God and gravely wounding the other two. As Dunn and the surviving gods faced a stalemate with the remaining ancient gods, Cyric absorbed the War Overlord’s legacy and became a Mad God.

  • The War Overlord’s self-destruction engulfed the Thunder Ancient God, while Dunn endured the blast and used his death divine power to catch all three ancient gods as they tried to escape.
  • The Thunder Ancient God died from the combined attacks, and the Water Ancient God and Golden Ancient God survived with grave injuries.
  • The gods approached as the energy torrent weakened, leaving the two ancient gods convinced they had no chance to escape and preparing to fight Dunn to the death.
  • Cyric rushed past the standoff to the site of the War Overlord’s self-destruction, where he absorbed the War Overlord’s godhead and divine portfolios.
  • The scattered war divine power surged into Cyric, who opened his eyes filled with madness as a new Mad God.

Ch. 493Pale Disaster

Cyric absorbed the War Overlord’s godhead and portfolio, ascended to Greater Power, and attacked two Ancient Gods while consumed by madness. After they blasted him away, he swallowed the Thunder Ancient God’s remains and unexpectedly gained a surge of power, leaving Dunn and the gathered Gods stunned.

  • Cyric absorbed the War Overlord’s godhead and divine portfolio, becoming a Greater Power and losing control to madness.
  • Cyric attacked two nearby Ancient Gods, forcing them onto the defensive while Dunn watched and the other Gods held back.
  • The two Ancient Gods struck Cyric with their full strength and sent him flying thousands of miles, briefly restoring his reason.
  • Cyric grabbed the Thunder Ancient God’s remains and swallowed them before Dunn could stop him.
  • Cyric’s aura surged to nearly the War Overlord’s level, and powerful arcs of electricity spread around him as madness consumed him.

Ch. 494Pale Disaster 2

After Cyric absorbed the War Overlord’s and Thunder Ancient God’s powers, Dunn persuaded the Goddess of Magic to help eliminate the two remaining Ancient Gods. Once they died, the Gods turned on the wounded, maddened Cyric, hoping to seize his power.

  • Cyric roared and charged the two Ancient Gods, while Dunn decided not to kill his ally yet and considered how to use the battle for his plans.
  • Dunn warned the Goddess of Magic that Cyric’s absorbed powers were unbalanced and urged the Gods to attack the Ancient Gods while Cyric drew their blows.
  • Led by Dunn and the Goddess of Magic, the Gods joined Cyric and drove the Ancient Gods into a desperate fight; the two Ancient Gods self-destructed, killing only a few clones.
  • Dunn claimed the Power Crystals left by the Ancient Gods, and the Gods surrounded the injured Cyric after he failed to evade the explosion.
  • Cyric attacked the Gods, who began fighting him as many deployed their true bodies in hopes of killing the Greater Power and taking his strength.

Ch. 495Pale Disaster 3

Dunn watched Cyric and the Gods tear each other apart, then turned his attention to the Main Plane as the barrier around it began to shake. He had used Atlantis’s slaughter and an undead invasion to gather Faith Power, hoping the Pale Disaster would raise him to Elder Divine Power.

  • Mad Cyric killed deities while the other Gods fought over the fallen, and more deities died in the ensuing chaos.
  • Lolth withdrew with the Abyss Lords after the Ancient Gods fell and the Fate Overlord fled.
  • The Goddess of Magic confronted Dunn about a deity’s unexplained death, then left after realizing he had not sensed what she had.
  • Dunn sensed that the barrier sealing the Main Plane was under pressure and recalled the Clone he had placed in Evelyn, his daughter and a Legendary Priest.
  • Dunn explained that Atlantis’s war, the deaths of its victims, and his undead forces had brought him vast Faith Power as he pursued Elder Divine Power.
  • The Undead Calamity spread across the Main Plane, beginning the catastrophe later called the Pale Disaster.

Ch. 496From now on, I am your enemy.

Dunn absorbed a torrent of faith power and declared war on the gods, announcing his intention to slaughter every living being in the Main Plane. He crushed Gunara’s clone and absorbed her divinity and godhead, while Annie’s true body restrained Gunara in her divine kingdom.

  • Faith power burst through the barrier and surged toward Dunn, jolting the gods into realizing their divine power and followers had dwindled.
  • The gods learned that the Atlantis Empire was responsible for the deaths of many of their followers and demanded an explanation from Dunn.
  • Dunn declared that he was the gods’ enemy and intended to slaughter every living being in the Main Plane.
  • Several deities, including the Goddess of Night, fled, while Dunn ignored them.
  • Dunn crushed Gunara’s clone and absorbed her divinity and godhead.
  • In Gunara’s divine kingdom, Annie’s true body pinned her down and called her nourishment.

Ch. 497Just a Little Short

Dunn fought the Gods for a year, growing stronger as the Main Plane’s faith sustained him while the deities weakened. After killing three deities, he absorbed a death divine portfolio and felt the boundary to elder divine power blur for an instant.

  • Dunn’s war with the Gods lasted a year, and the deities were forced to fight with their true bodies as their clones and dwindling faith drained their strength.
  • Dunn slaughtered beings across the Main Plane while avoiding the overseas Sea Monsters and the Cleanser, gaining faith power as the Gods fell.
  • Dunn realized he still lacked something beyond faith power to reach elder divine power, but considered killing the remaining deities rather than ending the war.
  • Dunn unleashed a surge of divine power and killed three deities, then collected their godheads and divine portfolios.
  • Dunn absorbed a death divine portfolio and felt the boundary to elder divine power blur for an instant.

Ch. 498Divine Portfolio Uniqueness

Dunn realized he needed to be the only deity with the Death Divine Portfolio to ascend to elder divine power, so he killed two lesser deities who held it. He called for a truce and demanded the Plague Lord surrender the last known Death Divine Portfolio, leaving the Plague Lord with no clear way to refuse.

  • Dunn realized that he could ascend to elder divine power only by becoming the sole deity with the Death Divine Portfolio.
  • Dunn killed the two lesser deities on the battlefield who possessed the portfolio and absorbed their divine portfolios.
  • Dunn halted the fighting and told the Gods that he had sought to ascend, had stopped the slaughter in the Main Plane, and wanted the war to end.
  • Dunn demanded the Death Divine Portfolio from the Plague Lord, who knew that refusing would leave him without allies against Dunn.

Ch. 499World Will

Dunn absorbed the Plague Lord’s Death Divine Portfolio and silently advanced to elder divine power, becoming the strongest being in the world. After sensing the Cleanser and surveying the Abyss, he was pulled into a white space, where the World Will introduced itself.

  • The Plague Lord gave Dunn his Death Divine Portfolio and fled the battlefield, while most of the other deities withdrew to the Astral Plane Depths.
  • Dunn absorbed the final Death Divine Portfolio and advanced to elder divine power without the watching deities noticing.
  • Dunn sensed the Ancient Gods and Fate Overlord, then focused on the Cleanser in the East Sea and confirmed it possessed elder-level power.
  • Dunn surveyed the Abyss and concluded that no living being stood above or equal to him.
  • A streak of rainbow light struck Dunn and carried his consciousness to a mysterious white space.
  • A large orb of light told Dunn not to fear and identified itself as the World Will.

Ch. 500The choice

Dunn learned that the World Will and Kaelsas were partially fused after Kaelsas’s failed attempt to seize control of the world, and that they needed Dunn to break their stalemate. Rather than choose between them, Dunn returned to the Astral Plane and decided to exploit their conflict while seeking a way to become the world’s master himself.

  • The World Will explained that Kaelsas, the first Wizard and Magic Ancient God, had used his Apotheosis Spell to try to take over the world, but the World Will’s awakening left them partially fused.
  • The World Will revealed that it had brought Dunn from another world, guided the Fate Overlord, and influenced Dunn into fighting the Gods after the War Overlord fell.
  • The World Will and Kaelsas asked Dunn to choose whether to help erase Kaelsas or let Kaelsas complete his Apotheosis Spell by suppressing the World Will.
  • Dunn refused to decide and joked that he would take tens of thousands of years to think, then returned to the Astral Plane.
  • Dunn concluded that neither being could currently threaten him alone and chose to maintain their stalemate while preventing others from reaching elder divine power and seeking control of the world.
