Lott had only just returned to the Skybreaker when he spat out a mouthful of blood.
The sight terrified Ling'er and the others.
"Lott, are... are you all right?"
Boa Hancock hurried forward to support Lott as well. "Husband, are you all right?"
Vivi likewise came to Lott's side, her face full of worry. "Lott."
Lott waved a hand. "Let's get back to Peach Spring first."
Enel waved his hand, controlling the Skybreaker as it sped toward Peach Spring.
Kuro frowned slightly, sensing that things might not be so simple.
Lott snapped his fingers, and an Electromagnetic Barrier immediately enveloped the Skybreaker.
Then he slowly sat down, looked around, and said, "Things are more complicated than we imagined."
"What do you mean?" Robin now felt that something was amiss.
Lott sighed and slowly replied, "Actually, I couldn't maintain that state for long either. Even Senzu Beans couldn't restore me in such a short time.
"Two of the Four Emperors working together aren't so easy to defeat.
"Even for me."
Kuro and the others nodded at his words, knowing that Lott was probably telling the truth.
Anyone knew that defeating two opponents at the very pinnacle working together was no easy feat.
"Then why did you cough up blood?" Boa Hancock asked.
Hearing Boa Hancock's question, the others were equally puzzled. They had never seen Lott injured this badly before.
Lott pointed at the sky and said slowly, "I did it on purpose. Just now, I sensed someone spying on us."
Kuro nodded. "I had that feeling too, as though a pair of eyes were watching us."
Zoro said, "I felt the same."
"Huh? Why didn't I sense anything?" Ling'er tilted her head and looked up at the sky again, but found nothing unusual.
Robin folded her arms across her chest.
